Racism spreading into schools?

What is happening to our nation's education system? The politics of racism and hate is now spreading into schools and our children are now been educated with racism. These children are now being taught to think as Malay, Chinese and Indians and not as Malaysians. Our children are now being lectured to accept the fact that Malay, Chinese and Indians are merely "penumpang" in a country called Malaysia, instead of being Malaysians having our rights in Malaysia.

Another case in Johor recently where an insane principal of a secondary school in Johor gave her speech mentioning the following:

"Pelajar-pelajar Cina tidak diperlukan dan boleh balik ke China ataupun Sekolah Foon Yew. Bagi pelajar India, tali sembahyang yang diikat di pergelangan tangan dan leher pelajar nampak seakan anjing dan hanya anjing akan mengikat seperti itu".

A case similar to a Perkasa kind of jargon is now practically underway in our nation's education system. So again, is Umno and Perkasa trying to imply such pattern of disunity into the brains and mindsets of our children so that they will all end up fighting a racial war when they grow up in future? It looks like our educators had turned themselves into politically racist animals of these opportunist political situation.

First we had the state education departments giving out circulars to schools to enforce the ban on schools' Buddhist societies, Christian fellowships and Hindu clubs, then in another incident a school headmaster gave an order to disband a Chinese language society in his school for nothing.

What are all these motives actually? Giving a reason that there are some misunderstanding is not a very good reason at all. Are you saying that the entire education system are completely uneducated? Or are these incidents were being purposely made out to indirectly warn the people on the dangers of voting against Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN)? Are all these incidents were being made to remind our people not to speak against Perkasa? Are all these an indirect warning to our people from the federal government that the 13 May incident is about to repeat itself if our voters did not return their support to Umno and BN in the next general election?

Racism, hate and fear are being systematically promoted in our school's education and these moves are endangering the whole nation.

What action has the education ministry taken so far? Why are there no stern action taken against those irresponsible ministry officials who carried out such circulars, those principal and headmasters who had by full intention wanted to create disharmony in out multi-racial society.

The situations are very clear, these incidents are not accidents or misunderstandings as reported but these actions were done intentionally on purpose to serve the interest of certain parties.

That is why we have yet to see any affirmative actions taken against all those who are involved. This is what we called 1Malaysia? Najib, can you please explain all these mess?

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Federal Constitution that Safeguards the Legitimate Rights and Interest of All Malaysians

The provisions of the Federal Constitution are very clear. It confirmed the position of the Malay Rulers, Islam as an official religion of the federation and special position of the Malays and the natives in Sabah and Sarawak whilst recalling that those provisions balance those special positions with safeguards to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the other communities in Malaysia which also includes their right to profess and practice their religions freely without being fear of any threats or being harmed by anybody. The legitimate interests of the non-Malays and non-Muslims would include, amongst others: a) Article 153 (9) says that business or trade cannot be solely reserved only for the Malays, b) Article 3 (1) says that the official religion of the federation is Islam BUT other religions are also allowed to be practiced in peace and harmony in any part of the federation.
