BN coordinators demand recognition as "people's representatives"
Because of their refusal to accept the electoral defeat, the Umno-led BN federal government had decided to appoint the so-called constituency coordinators to take charge of all these parliamentary and state legislative constituencies which are currently held by elected members of parliament and state assemblymen from Pakatan Rakyat component parties.
And now these BN constituency coordinators are demanding that the people and also the Pakatan Rakyat-led state governments should recognize them as the legitimate representatives of the people because they have the powers to approve funding and financial allocations to the constituencies that they are "representing".
The recent strong arm tactic demand for public recognition now came from the Penang's BN Bagan constituency coordinator by the name of 'David Chua' saying that in order to obtain funding and financial allocations from the federal government, the people and the Pakatan Rakyat-led state governments ought to recognize their roles, because the BN constituency coordinators are all directly appointed by the prime minister's department and these coordinators are acting in the name of the federal government which is still under the BN.
Besides, Chua also mentioned that these BN constituency coordinators are in a position of power to evaluate the needs of the people in their "respective constituencies". His statements shows his arrogance and demonstrated an autocratic fist rule.
Well , we wish to remind Chua and the other BN constituency coordinators again, that their appointment to these so-called positions are unconstitutional and illegal. By appointing you and those others to such positions already contravened to the provision of the Federal Constitution which give recognition and rights only to the members of parliament and state assemblymen who are legitimately elected by the people via democratically form of election, and by having you and those others in such a position that rivals the legitimately elected representatives of the parliament and the state legislative assemblies also means that your positions had gravely insulted the roles of the Yang Dipertuan Agung, the Sultans and Yang Dipertua Negeris who sworn in legitimately elected representatives of the people's choice.
As you all had been rejected and defeated in the last general elections, you have no right to claim recognition as the "representative of the people" similar to that of the legitimately elected representatives of the parliament and the state legislative assemblies, nor to enjoy various allowances, benefits and privileges currently receive by legitimately elected representatives of the parliament and the state legislative assemblies.
All allowances, perks and benefits which you currently enjoy and receive from the prime minister's department are deemed to be illegal, autocratic, unconstitutional and a clear abuse of public funds. Why do we say that? It is because in the Federal Constitution, there are no such provision that recommends the appointment of a "constituency coordinator" to rival the elected representative, after you all were defeated in the general election.
And same goes to your current allowances, perks and benefits which are paid out by the prime minister's department, which are also not stated in any provisions under the Public Service Act or the Public Service Commission's Directives. Therefore, if there are such allowance, perks and benefits provided to you under the guise of the prime minister's department such allocation shall be deemed as abuse of public funds as such practices clearly went against the interest of the general public.
We hope that all these BN constituency coordinators will stop demanding the general public to recognize them as the "representative of the people". If you want the general public to recognize you, contest in the general election again as a BN candidate and prove your worth to the people via democratic channel, not an autocratic one.
