Merdeka, so what?
Yes, it is not that we are not appreciating the spirit of Merdeka on 31 August every year. We do recognize that there are some people out there who are really appreciating this historic annual celebration which marked the independence of our nation 53 years ago.
But, we are also upset and fed up there despite being an independent nation for 53 years now, our nation's unity is breaking up one by one, day by day and now almost every second in a day. These irresponsible racist leaders and politicians had made use of our "kemerdekaan" to further their own political gains, to further their own political powers, to further their supremacist order, to further their "ketuanan" order and to make the others s their slaves and cows.
These irresponsible racist leaders and politicians wanted to disintegrate the foundation laid down by our first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj when our nation first achieved our independence 53 years ago. These irresponsible racist leaders and politicians wanted to ensure that there will be no such thing of Bangsa Malaysia now and for the rest of our lives.
These racist leaders and politicians wanted to instill their so-called supremacist and "ketuanan" orders onto the other communities and ethnics, as well as to enslave others in order to advance their own political powers and gains.
As the result, our freedom, democracy, justice, equality and most importantly our national unity and the federal constitution has been gravely undermined in the name of upholding a one-race supremacist and "ketuanan" orders.
As the result, those who stood up and fought for, including those who are still fighting now to defend our freedom, democracy, justice, equality as well as to stand up against racism, hatred, threat and violence were round up, imprisoned and tortured while those who advocate racism, hatred, threat and violence against others were still on the lose out there having their hands on all their victims almost every second, every hour and every single day.
And that is what gravely upset all of us, instead of moving forward, our nation is heading towards disintegration and going backwards to uncivilized nature of enslavement of our people.
Merdeka, so what? Does this event mean anything to us today? The actual spirit is already long gone, years ago ever since these racist leaders and politicians took up their seats of power in Putrajaya.
Therefore, if racism is so strong today, there will be no freedom, democracy, justice, equality, national unity and Bangsa Malaysia anymore. So, is this really Merdeka anyway?
