It is sinful for Muslims to pray for the well-being of others, Umno said

Recently, some Penang Umno leaders, particularly its state liaison chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had claimed that imams of several mosques in Permatang Pauh, Jelutong and Tasek Gelugor had remove their prayer words for the well-being of the Yang Dipertuan Agung and replaced them with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's name in their Friday sermons.

Wow, it shows that Umno hated Islam so much to an extend that they would insult this religion that majority of their party members had profess since birth. They wanted Islam to be hated by others by showering hatred on non-Muslims. Umno really likes to fuel hatred. Umno leaders said that it is sinful for Muslims to pray for the well-being of their non-Muslim friends. Is this what they are trying to point at? Muslims cannot pray for the well-being of their Christian, Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu friends and colleagues? And indirectly saying that it is also sinful for Christian, Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu people to pray for well-being their Muslim friends and colleagues.

And if these are Umno's real definition, then this race-based extremist political party is an organization influenced by bastards and sons of the bitches. They are bastardizing the healthy environment of religious harmony in this country and trying to deny the rights of religious freedom of our people.

First of all, what is wrong of a Muslim guy who is sincere and good heart praying or reciting a "doa selamat" for the well-being of his non-Muslim Chinese, Indian or Kadazan friends and colleagues?

We want to ask Umno and its leaders, is there a verse or "Surah" in the Quran mentioning that it is sinful for Muslim to pray for well-being of their non-Muslim friends and colleagues in the mosque or "surau"?

We had gone to Churches during Christmas Day, we had went to Buddhist temples and monasteries during Wesak Day and to Hindu temples during Deepavali Day heard of pastors, monks and priest urging their devotees and followers to come together to pray for the well-being of our Yang Dipertuan Agung, Sultans and prime minister every year so that our country would be peaceful and prosperous in terms of social and economical prospects.

So if Umno now dictates that Muslims cannot pray for the well-being of their non-Muslim friends and colleagues, then they are also applying the situation to us as non-Muslim that we should not pray for the well-being of our Yang Dipertuan Agung, Sultans and prime minister because they are all Muslim and we are not! Isn't it so, dearly idiotic Umno?

We, Christians, Buddhists, Taoists and Hindus really sympathize the current situation in Umno because of their quests for revenge, their quests to shower hatred, their quests to promote violence and their unsound minds are increasing day by day and they are ruin themselves in such a condition that they could no longer be cured. Umno and its leaders had derived into a situation that they are now living in sub-human or animal realms where they could no longer stand or bear to see the peace, harmonious and unity of our multiracial and multi-religious communities and societies.

In order to rule with iron fist, they would resort to destroy the unity of our people, the religions of our people, the peace in our communities, the harmonious and loving environment and the entire humankind in this country.

Come on! Let us all stand up against this monstrous act of Umno and their racist chauvinistic leaders.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Federal Constitution that Safeguards the Legitimate Rights and Interest of All Malaysians

The provisions of the Federal Constitution are very clear. It confirmed the position of the Malay Rulers, Islam as an official religion of the federation and special position of the Malays and the natives in Sabah and Sarawak whilst recalling that those provisions balance those special positions with safeguards to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the other communities in Malaysia which also includes their right to profess and practice their religions freely without being fear of any threats or being harmed by anybody. The legitimate interests of the non-Malays and non-Muslims would include, amongst others: a) Article 153 (9) says that business or trade cannot be solely reserved only for the Malays, b) Article 3 (1) says that the official religion of the federation is Islam BUT other religions are also allowed to be practiced in peace and harmony in any part of the federation.
