Sodomy 2: Will Anwar get a fair trial?

One after another applications made by the defense attorneys of Parliamentary Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to obtain copies of medical reports, copies of the "alleged sodomy victim" Mohd Saiful Bukhari's described report and medical examination for the purpose of review has been blatantly rejected continuously without any valid reasons.

The reason for the rejection by the court judge was these information applied by the defense are not relevant and the defense does not really require these evidence for review. That means Datuk Seri Anwar was not fairly accorded with the review and documentations of his own case. Is this a fair trial? Is he properly accorded his human rights?

Whatever applications made forward by the defense team to review documentations, information and reports related to the case for the trial were all unreasonably rejected. As such, Datuk Seri Anwar's defense were actually left defenseless as they are lack of proper or detailed documentary evidence to work out the case.

So , what is the motive of the judge of doing this against Datuk Seri Anwar? Withholding these papers so that his attorneys would not be able to file a proper defense against the prosecution? Or simply because there are no evidence at all or documentary reports are incomplete all this while, therefore they are "withholding" it to buy more time for further fabrication?

There comes another blow in the prosecution team when it has been discovered that one of the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Farah Azlina is having an affair with Mohd Saiful (the alleged "sodomy victim" and star witness to this case).

And when Datuk Seri Anwar wanted a review on the reported Farah Azlina-Mohd Saiful affair to check on the possibility of conflict of interest and suspected confidential information were leaked out, the judge had again rejected the application citing that this affair is not related to the ongoing trial.

Why not related? It is all related. The judge is ruling in favour of the prosecution simply because they had receive the instruction from the federal government to do so. This shows that the judiciary system is still tainted. There is no transparency at all in this case right from the beginning till today.

At the end of the day, do you believe that Datuk Seri Anwar will ever get a fair trial to clear his name? Will he be fairly trialed in a professional manner and obtain an accurate and correct judgment onto his case? Will the judgment and prosecution be open and transparent when dealing with the defense team?

Whom do you all thrust in the federal government: the police, attorney-general's chamber or the judge? As far as we knew, none of these are trustworthy of. The entire system has been politicize and it is a total failure.

The entire nation and the world are watching because this is not a trial of one man alone, but the entire nation has been accused and put on trial. Democracy and justice itself are on trial.

Remember! Justice maybe blind but it can be seen in the dark.
