Quit BN if you are sincere, MCA told
Trying to win back Chinese votes which it lost in the last general election? But they are doing this at the expense of DAP. Why did the MCA president Chua Soi Lek said that they work hand in hand with DAP to serve the interest of the Chinese community effectively.
First of all, in their quest to regain the support of the Chinese community, why did they want to borrow DAP's name into the scene? To convince the Chinese community that they are fighting for them? So, what about the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition which the MCA had serve and bowed to for decades?
Is MCA telling Umno that they could no longer listen blindly to the dominant party in the coalition anymore? Well, Umno is reacting harshly on MCA now. Even Utusan Malaysia, Umno's very own newspaper had already start attacking MCA for being too vocal within the BN fold. Even the BN deputy chairman had warned MCA not to go overboard or otherwise......
We would like to tell MCA, if you are really sincere, do not take DAP into your fight. You only fight for the Chinese community alone, but DAP fights for all Malaysians. As such, it is wrong for MCA to label DAP as a fellow Chinese party. DAP is not a Chinese party but a multi-racial political party that serve the interest of all Malaysians.
Again on MCA, if you are sincere enough to serve the entire community, leave the BN coalition immediately to demonstrate that you are for the people and not only the Chinese community but for all Malaysians. Then change your party name to Malaysian Communities Association and turn your party into a multi-racial one. Only then you can stand side by side with DAP.
The BN coalition is actually not a multi-racial political entity but a mere combination of race base political parties within still fighting for the interest of each of the race which they claimed to represent. The topic of being a Malaysian is outlawed in the BN and Umno still remain a dominant force in the coalition until today.
In the BN, every component parties listens to the demands and expectation of Umno. There is no equality in the coalition when speaking of policy making, race relations and political governance.
So, again MCA, if you are really sincere to serve our Malaysians, quit the BN coalition as soon as possible. Do not hide behind the BN curtain and telling people that you are working and serving them. Do not even associate DAP with your fight because it will signify your political dependence on others i.e. you have no back bones.
By the way, can MCA really change? That's another difficult question.
