BN says Penang turning into an Islamic state

Penang BN chairman and Gerakan secretary-general Teng Chang Yeow had recently mentioned that the state government is heading towards Islamisation as there are now about 300 percent hike of allocations for Islamic affairs but no much given to the Penang Chinese Town Hall.

Well, what is Teng trying to say exactly here? The Penang Umno Youth and Perkasa has been saying that the Malays and Muslims in Penang has been systematically marginalised by the state government ever since Pakatan Rakyat has taken over in 2008.

This means, whatever Teng is saying now contradicts to what his Umno counterparts has been saying about the Penang DAP-led Pakatan state government. Same goes to all those BN leaders at the federal level. Umno says DAP is merely making use of PAS and would eventually Christianise this nation as well as turning Malaysia into a republic, while Umno's  number two partner MCA says that DAP is merely a tool of PAS and when Pakatan takes over the nation, Malaysia would be heading towards becoming an Islamic state with hudud implementations.

It shows that BN has nothing more to say than to bring up racial and religious issues all the time in order to drum up support from the respective communities which they claimed to be representing. Umno would always say that Pakatan is dominated by DAP and would turn this country into a Christian republic one day, while MCA would always focus on PAS claiming that the later would dominate Pakatan and turn this country into an Islamic state with hudud laws are expected to be enforced in the whole country.

When Gerakan was leading the Penang BN state government prior to 2008, what has Gerakan done to stop the rising extremism from Umno and what has Gerakan done to counter Umno's allegation over Gerakan's failure to look into the Malay-Muslim affairs in the state? Remember, when Gerakan was leading the state BN government at that time, Umno too mentioned that Malays has been marginalised.

BN as a coalition of parties consisting Umno, MCA, Gerakan, MIC or PPP must be specific in their public statements and allegation. Who is marginalising who and who was being marginalised all these years? Can these BN component parties come up with a consensus confirming which community in this country is actually being marginalised, both politically and economically?
