Police spy caught in DAP convention!
According to party insiders, the man had sneaked into the control room for the ballroom where the function is being held and had managed to record at least eight sound clips of the entire convention's proceedings since 10am this morning.
Perak DAP chairman Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham lambasted the police for their act of intruding on the people’s privacy. “It is not about whether or not we were discussing secrets during our convention but about the fact that the police have absolutely no respect at all for the privacy of others. “Under the law, a person who enters the convention or meeting of a private organisation is clearly committing trespass,” he said.
The police is spying on a private meeting mean only for party members. This is gravely wrong, a disgrace and a public disappointment. Is the Umno-led federal government trying to adopt the Nazi-style Gestapo secret police spying network on the locals?
Yeah, we should say it is a Nazi-style because Hitler's Nazi party is racist and so does Umno. Both the Nazis and Umno are similar. The police were so inefficient in combating crimes and terrorist attacks (on churches) but were instead very good at intruding on the private functions of others.
We are certain that the inspector-general of police (IGP) will probably say that the special branch officer was acting on his own. In case, if that is the reason, what action would the IGP take against this officer for his misconduct?
Criminals, robbers, rapist, snatch thieves, mat rempits are everywhere and now terrorists are attacking churches as well, but the IGP said that they did not have enough manpower to combat all these criminal and terrorist elements.
However, they do have enough manpower in the special branch to combat opposition politics, activities and healthy democratic practices.
We need an Independent Police Complaints and Misconducts Commission (IPCMC) to address the situation.
