‘Overly liberal’ economic model worries Malay groups. Are they pretending not to know or they really don't know?

Image
Worries about an impending “overly liberal” New Economic Model has prompted nearly 80 Malay groups to form the Malay Consultative Council (MPM) to push the federal government to maintain affirmative action for the country’s dominant race. A Malay leader revealed that the MPM wants the Umno-led Barisan Nasional federal government to maintain a “guided” New Economic Policy (NEP) that protects the Malays and Bumiputras, saying the community was worried about moves to abolish subsidies and other forms of aid. We want to ask all those who had grouped into forming the MPM yesterday. What do you mean by dominant race? Which clause in the federal constitution says that you are all overlords and far more supreme or greater than others? Which clause in the federal constitution do really specify and proven your greatness in terms of birth, religion, power, status, tribal and skin colour? Please be informed that in this country, there are no masters and slaves status here at all. We did not threat...

The Facts in the Federal Constitution

Article 3 : Ugama Bagi Persekutuan Reads (1) Ugama Islam ialah ugama bagi Persekutuan, tetapi ugama-ugama lain boleh diamalkan dengan aman dan damai di mana bahagian Persekutuan. It means Islam is an official religion of the Federation but other religions are allowed to be practiced in peace and order in any areas of the Federation. So far, do we really enjoy meaning of this article? The construction of places of worship are still restricted only to certain areas or residence. Where is the real freedom of religion? Nothing in any part of the Federal Constitution had ever mention that Malaysia is an Islamic state. As such, Malaysia is a Secular State, truly a Secular State.

The Federal Constitution forgotten

The Federal Constitution or Perlembagaan Persekutuan is indeed a secular set of laws to govern our nation called Malaysia. It is truly a Secular set of laws established by our country's forefathers in order to ensure all Malaysians enjoy their rights as citizens of this country. What most of us are confused today are because it was made to be confused by majority of the current leaders of the federal government in wake of their declining powers and influences in aftermath of the last 8 March 2008 general elections. Just because these bunch of federal leaders of the Barisan Nasional (BN) dominated by the United Malays National Organization (Umno) are seeing their powers and influences declining and the emerging new opposition coalition called Pakatan Rakyat (PR) which consist of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP) and the moderate Islamic Party (PAS) are gaining its grounds and supports even faster than expected, the BN and Umno leaders are now in a very despe...

Global recovery doubts send Asian markets lower

Weaker-than-expected data from the United States and Europe triggered fresh doubts about the pace of global recovery today, with Asian markets trading broadly lower. February US consumer confidence data released Tuesday eroded expectations for sustainable consumer spending and a quick economic recovery in the United States, prompting a risk-averse reaction across Asia. "The market is looking for signs of economic recovery and growth," said analysts at IG Markets. "The latest set of consumer confidence figures isn't helping this view." A surprise decline in business confidence in Germany, Europe's biggest economy, also indicated sluggish recovery and hit sentiment towards the euro in overnight trade, before the single currency rebounded in Asia. The euro fetched 1.3543 dollars in Tokyo afternoon trade from 1.3509 in New York late Tuesday. It rose to 122.20 yen from 121.87. Tokyo fell 1.48 percent, or 153.27 points, to 10,198.83 with the relatively strong...

KDN anggap rencana The Star 'ancam ketenteraman awam' dan Utusan dialu-alukan terus mengancam ketenteraman awam

Another attempt to destabilize the Penang State Government

DAP Secretary-General and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has been told to contact the state police to fix a time and date for his statements to be recorded in relation to six reports against him. The police claimed that the six reports made against him were from Sungai Nibong, Kg Baru, Kubang Semang, Seberang Jaya, Sungai Pinang and Kepala Batas but have yet to produce any evidence to show that those police report were really made, by whom and what are the reasons for the reports. Looks like there is another attempt by Umno to destabilize and disrupt the daily running of the Penang State Government. They wanted to disrupt Guan Eng's duty as the state's chief minister and to sabotage his efforts to bring about changes to the Penang state and for the people. When police reports were made against the Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMPP), Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS), Sedaq and Perkasa for their roles in organizing the street riots and chaos in Penang recently...

It is Umno's ploys affecting investments into our country

According to Umno supreme council member and Second Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, opposition coalition is garnering the support of the international community towards its cause by creating a bad perception of the country. He said the ploy indirectly dented investors’ confidence in Malaysia, adding that in other countries, the opposition did not rally the support of the international community to support its cause. Husni was commenting on a note handed by 50 Australian members of parliament to the Malaysian High Commission in Canberra, calling for Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy trial to be dropped. Actually, it was Umno who is the one creating chaos, hate, violence and revenge here and there in order to destabilize the entire nation. They tried to destabilize the state governments of Selangor, Penang, Kelantan and Kedah, so that Umno could blame the opposition coalition for the chaos and riots erupted in these states. Umno is creating injustice by im...

You want a chance? Disband all racist elements in this country first!

Image
Prime Minister Datuk Najib Razak yesterday night celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year by asking the our Malaysian Chinese community to give the federal government a chance to prove itself. “Give us chance and we will prove that we are a government that can do the best for the people,” the prime minister said at the national Chinese New Year celebrations at the Pandamaran New Village here. We want to ask Najib, if you want a chance, you need to prove yourself worth of it. We will give you the chance if you do us the following: Disband the United Malays National Organization (Umno), Disband the Utusan Malaysia and its entire operations, Disband the Berita Harian and its entire operations, Disband Perkasa (Pribumi Organization of Greatness) and the other racist organizations, Disband the Internal Security Act (ISA), Disband the Official Secrets Act (OSA), Disband the New Economic Policy (NEP), Disband all racist elements and policies in the government, educational, scholarships, services...

DPMPP president failed to perform as councillor

The Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMPP) president Rizal Faris Mohideen had in fact failed to perform his duties as a Penang Municipal Councillor from May 2008 to February 2009. The Penang Pakatan Rakyat state government still appointed him as a councillor eventhough they knew that he is an Umno member, but he was respected by virtue of his leadership in DPMPP then. Unfortunately, he was not reappointed for another term because he failed to perform his duties as a municipal councillor. Of all the 97 council meetings, Rizal only attended 3 of it; as the chairman of the council's night markets and traders committee, he was absent in most of the committee meetings; never attended any of the 13 finance committee meetings; for development planning committee, out of 7 meetings he only attended once, and for the public health committee, which is relevant and important to talk about traders he only attended 4 out of the 9 meetings. During his tenure as a municipal councillor, he has ...

PR is now Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia

Image
Pakatan Rakyat has accepted a suggestion from the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to register itself under the name Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia. Nevertheless, the opposition alliance does not expect a smooth ride to registration, according to Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, secretary-general of Parti Keadilan Rakyat. "Let’s be frank," he said. "It took years for Parti Sosialis Malaysia, which is aligned to the opposition, just to get approval to become a political party. What more with the Pakatan, when we are the Number One threat to Prime Minister Najib Razak? “No doubt, another party Makkal Sakthi got the green light within months but then this is the double standards that we are talking about. If you are aligned to Umno-BN, approval is in the blink of an eye. If you are not, then you may have to wait for years.” In November 2009, PAS, PKR and DAP rushed to tender their application after the Registrar of Societies, Md Alias Jalil, publicly said there was no rule th...

GST will allow Umnoputras more 'Disneyland' trips

The Malaysian public is not fully aware of the implications of the goods and services tax on the ordinary people. The GST is a multi-stage tax system. Everything the sellers sell - from manufacturer, wholesaler to retailer - collect GST for the government. The current sales and service tax (SST) is a single-stage tax. Only one party along the supply chain collects the SST for the government. If the manufacturer collects the tax, the rest are not allowed to collect. As an example the current sales tax for toilet soap is 10%. With GST, the manufacturer pays 4% to the government; he then sells to the wholesaler, the wholesaler pays the government another 4% when he sells to a retailer and when the retailer sells it to the consumer, he pays another 4% to the government. The consumer actually ends up paying more than 12% in cumulative GST for the same piece of soap or 20% more in taxes. (10% vs 12%+++). If the supply chain is longer than the three stages mentioned above , the c...

MACC officer charged with corruption

An assistant superintendent with the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was charged in the Sessions Court here today with bribery, involving RM250,000. The senior officer who is charged with two counts of bribery, however, pleaded not guilty and claimed trial to both the charges before judge Azhanis Teh Azman Teh. He is alleged to have solicited RM250,000 from one A.Sinnaiah as an inducement not to proceed with the investigation on him for allegedly bribing officials of the National Registration Department and the Immigration Department. He is also charged with agreeing to receive bribe of RM200,000 from Sinnaiah for the same purpose. The offences were allegedly committed at the Selangor MACC office, 14th Floor, Plaza Masalam, Jalan Tengku Ampuan Zabedah, E9/E, Section 9 here (where an aide to a Selangor state executive councillor was found murdered), between 11am and 1pm on Oct 22 last year. Even a senior official of MACC who is tasked to curb corruption is a corrupt...

Anwar's case, an Umno diversion from its own problems and scandals

The second sodomy case of Opposition Leader and PKR Advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is getting more complicated. Numerous request put forward by his team of defending lawyers to get the prosecution to produce various evidence before the court has been continuously denied without any concrete reasons. What was the actual intention for the denial? So many reasons and scandals. Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN)'s own problems and scandals. They needed something big and unusual to divert our people's attention away from their own misadventures. So, they took Anwar as their diversion tool for that. With our people are now focusing on Anwar's case, Umno and BN got their cannons fired at Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state governments, creating chaos, demonstrations, provoking racial angers, hatreds and threatening the people who supported PR for alleged "betraying" their religious obligations. Umno and BN's plan are getting Anwar's attention away from PR, and fire a few sho...

Asean jittery about trade pact with China

The China-Asean Free Trade Area (Cafta), which kicked in at the start of this year, has been greeted with little enthusiasm in the region. A Philippine Daily Inquirer story, headlined 'The China-Asean Free Trade Area: Propaganda and reality', contended that contrary to the positive spin by the country's leaders, 'most of the advantages will probably flow to China'. A Jakarta Post analysis urged Indonesian companies to 'face the music' and take on the challenge of competition from China. The most telling headline was in Beijing's China Daily : 'China allays fears of Asean nations over Cafta'. A little bit of history will help to explain why there is some angst in Asean regarding the trade pact, which at first glance should be welcomed by the grouping for it opens up the huge Chinese market to Asean. The FTA was first mooted in 2000 by then Chinese premier Zhu Rongji, mostly to assuage anxiety in...

Another "wild boar" attack in Penang

The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (MCCM) secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar was attacked by the Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMPP) president Rizal Faris Mohideen last Wednesday at the Penang International Airport. Rizal who prior to the Chinese New Year had led a massive demonstration and burning of an effigy at Penang's Komtar to protest an alleged marginalization of the Penang Malay community by the state government. Not satisfied by the wild allegations made by the DPMPP against the Penang state government, the MCCM leadership decided to take its own initiatives to check and investigate the facts by calling on the Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his state executive council to seek further explanations onto the issue which has been racially provoked by DPMPP. The MCCM delegation led by its deputy president Datuk Muhammad Muhiyuddin Abdullah and Datuk Abdul Rahim made the correct move by calling on the state government professionally to hold a meeting with th...

National Malay chamber sec-gen lodges report against Penang Malay chamber official

The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar has lodged a police report against Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMPP) president Rizal Faris Mohideen for allegedly threatening him and attempting to assault him at the Penang International Airport last Wednesday. Abdul Rahim lodged the report at the Selayang police station on Feb 12. According to the report, Abdul Rahim said that at about 10am on Feb 10, he was with Melaka Malay chamber chairman Datuk Md Ramli Mohamad and Terengganu Malay chamber deputy president Abdul Razak Yaacob at the airport when they bumped into Rizal. Abdul Rahim said Rizal shouted at them and also used harsh words including " babi, sial, binatang, barua, kurang ajar ". Rizal allegedly warned them to be careful as he was "after them" and tried to hit Abdul Rahim with his hand but was prevented from doing so by Ramli. "I left the place immediately as I did not want to entertain him, but he told Raza...

The right path and the deviated ones

Kelantan will not hold Prophet Muhammad’s birthday procession this year despite criticisms by several Umno leaders who accused another Pakatan Rakyat state, Penang, as anti-Islam for allegedly planning to cancel the event. Most Muslim nations celebrate the Prophet’s birthday with a procession after prayers. Saudi Arabia, which practices an austere form of Islam, does not celebrate the event. “We are not organising any procession just like before, but of course there will be processions in mosques throughout the state, organised by the people to express their love for the Prophet,” said Kelantan Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yaakob. “The procession is not compulsory, Muslims can choose to do it or not, but most importantly they have to strictly adhere to the Prophet’s teachings,” said Datuk Ahmad. We strongly agree with Datuk Ahmad's statement! For decades under Umno's rule, Malay Muslims had clearly deviated from Islam for so many generations. Even a renown Islamic scholar wh...

RPK : On Prophet Muhammad’s birthday

by Raja Petra Kamarudin A friend of mine, the son of a renowned Mufti of Perak of some time back, told me this story. There was this man who had four sons. The first son became a doctor, the second one a lawyer, and the third one an engineer. The fourth son, however, was not that clever. So the father sent him to do religious studies. And this son who took up religious studies later became a Mufti. And that is why we do not get the best brains as Muftis, summed up my friend. Well, that is what my friend, Jad, a staunch Umno man and opposition hater, son of a renowned Perak Mufti, told me. It is his joke, not mine. I am merely repeating what he told me. But not all who go on to become Muftis are school dropouts and failures. Some, like the ex-Perlis Mufti, has a doctorate to his name. And he, as you may already know, is amongst the most progressive and liberal Muftis Malaysia has ever known. Even the non-Muslims feel comfortable with his views. And he is probably the only Mufti...

Our time is valuable, let us not waste it on a political animal

We wish to send a strong message to all our fellow Malaysians who are really serious in ensuring the unity, peace, harmony and the continuous development of our nation. Let us all not waste our valuable time on the so-called racist organization Perkasa and its leader by the name of Datuk Ibrahim Ali. His organization believes in violent, hatred and vulgar statements to work things out. They believe by creating disturbance, chaos and racial riots will move our country forward. Do not be attracted or even be influenced by this man as he is of no value to anyone of us. He and his organization are a mere symbol of destruction to our nation. By looking at him, taking some time and reading about his allegations would mean he had successfully hook on you. So, do not be hooked by him. He is not a politician, he is not mature, he is violent, he is a terrorist, he is confused, he is not a Muslim and finally we doubt if he is really a human being that worth our attention. For those who are uncert...

Nor Mohamed Yakcop's political secretary resigns

Hasbie Satar, the two million dollar political secretary to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop has resigned from his post effective yesterday. Hasbie had earlier been detained by the MACC officers at his apartment in Teluk Air Tawar, Butterworth in Penang for his role in a RM2 million corruption. He was held with the cash in his hand bundled in RM5, RM10, RM50 and RM100 notes. We see this guy as only one of the small fish. What about those big ones who are holding ministerial and very powerful positions in the Putrajaya administration? Why MACC is always focusing only on these small corrupted officials and not going after those bigger ones who swindled billions of Ringgit from the public fund. MACC ought to go deeper into the various corruptions reported in the state of Selangor during the reign of Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN). These irresponsible corrupt politicians had in fact amassed billions of Ringgit squandered and built themselves mansio...

Perkasa, a brand new Nazi organization

Today is the second day of the Chinese Lunar New Year and the extremist racist organization called Perkasa and its president Ibrahim Ali is already making yet another headline, thus further endangering our nation and moving the country further away from civilization and humanity. The so-called Perkasa who always claimed to champion Malay rights with its radical, extremist and violent ways by making threats onto other races is making itself into a brand new Nazi organization based on the systems practically used by the Germany's Third Reich prior to and during the Second World War. We would not know if Perkasa and Ibrahim are acting as proxy for Umno (in order to maintain its "moderate" image in the eyes of the other Barisan component parties and the voters) or is it simply acting on its own out of frustration on Umno who is moving towards a "moderate" channel in order to recapture its non-Malay votes that were lost during the last general elections on March 2008...

Zahid urges Zahrain to rejoin Umno

Image
The former chairman of the Penang Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim has been urged to rejoin Umno, said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Ahmad Zahid, who is also Penang Umno liaision committee chairman, welcomed Zahrain’s decision to quit PKR and hoped he would rejoin Umno as soon as possible in order to strengthen their supremacist power. Ahmad Zahid, you were the deputy leader of the successful coup d'etat in Perak on early February 2009 last year that toppled the Perak state government of Datuk Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin and now you wanted to be a leader of yet another coup d'etat in Penang to topple the elected state government of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. Ahmad Zahid, we knew that you as a defense minister holds the keys to the armed force, the army intelligence, naval intelligence and air force intelligence, and you think you can use all those military might under your charge to scare our people into submitting to you and...

My Chinese New Year Wishes

Image
I wish all my families, friends, comrades, colleagues and readers a Very Happy Chinese New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai in welcoming the Year of Tiger. The former year is going away and the new one is coming this midnight. Ever since after the 8 March 2008 general elections, we had seen numerous changes and challenges from both sides in our nation's politics. Injustice and political persecution are the two main factors that still contributed to our nation's instability and uncertain economic future. Almost everyday, we pray and make many wishes hoping our country that we love to become a better place to live but as days past, certain political, racial and religious extremists are out there trying to destroy our beloved nation in order to serve their own interest. As the Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching this midnight, here are my wishes for the our people and the entire nation: To continue our calls for the establishment of an Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commiss...

No Prophet's birthday procession ban. Utusan Malaysia lied again and again!

Penang Chief Minister and DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng today denied a report by Utusan Malaysia newspaper that his state government has cancelled this year's Prophet Muhammad's birthday procession. Umno, with the help of its press Utusan Malaysia Bhd is trying to create yet another riot or even a rebellion in the state of Penang by inciting racial and religious tensions. This is seditious and a threat to the national security. Why aren't the authorities taking any action? Because no police report has been made? This is what the police will always say when it comes to something that are related to Umno. No report and so there will be no action. What Umno is doing now is to destabilize Penang in order to launch another coup d'etat to retake control of the state administration via undemocratic means. They did it in Perak and instructed the royal household and the court to legalize them, they are trying another stunt in Selangor but had so far failed to unseat the sta...

DPM claims Penang not backing Muslim aims

Deputy prime minister and Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state government led by Chief Minister and DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng indicated that they did not support the aspirations of Muslims in Penang. Until today, Umno and its leaders are still talking about one race and religion which is dominant. They never talk about all of us being Malaysians. Aren't we all Malaysians? You are preaching about 1Malaysia concept but on the other side you preach racism and the greatness of one religion over the others. And now Umno wanted to spark racial tensions again by bringing up racial and religious issues by manipulating them and urging condemnation towards others without looking at the real and actual facts and scenarios. They keep on telling the people that time is running short and they need to act fast by instigating them onto the streets to demonstrate and protest violently. They promote hatred among the people. These actions ...

MCCM meeting with Guan Eng. PMCC angry for not being informed by parent body

The Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (MCCM) had send a delegation led by its deputy president Datuk Muhammad Muhiyuddin Abdullah to meet Penang Chief Minister and DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng recently to discuss on the allegations that the state government was biased against Malay traders. In the meet, the MCCM delegation was briefed on the state government policies pertaining to the licensing to the traders and MCCM was also given the statistics that showed the state was not being unfair to the Malays in Penang. Besides, the state government also gave MCCM on the statistics of the state's contracts being awarded via open tender from 2008 right up to 2009 which saw some 88% were given to Malay based companies. However, the Penang Malay Chamber of Commerce (PMCC) leaders who led the last Friday's violent and hate demonstrations at Komtar against the Penang state government were not happy that their federal chamber had decided to talk to the state government on their own....

Pakatan sportingly ceased its quest to regain Perak state government seat

Image
The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has finally agreed to sportingly ceased its fight to remove rebel Umno mentri besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his rebel state government or call for snap polls after the Federal Court ruling showed the futility of their struggle. Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin said last night the PR leadership had decided it was time to move on and work towards becoming a strong opposition in the state government. We welcome the sporting show extended by the state PR led by Datuk Seri Nizar today to move forward in order to achieve its long term objectives to expand and strengthen the people's support for the opposition coalition. Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) has not being sporting at all during the last general elections on March 2008 where they had continuously refused to accept their defeat and vowed to avenge against the then Pakatan-led state government. A year later, the BN led by Umno launched a coup d'etat with the help from the security forces to t...

Federal court legalized Perak rebel state government

The Federal Court which is under the direct jurisdiction of the Umno-led BN federal government today ruled that Perak rebel leader Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir is the rightful "menteri besar" of the state after Umno launched a coup d'etat to toppled the Pakatan state government on early of February last year, thus also legalizing the current Umno-led rebel state government. This snuffs out the last hope of his toppled Pakatan's legitimate menteri besar and predecessor Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin and deposed state speaker V. Sivakumar to be reinstated to their respective positions after a year long battle for justice. Well, this is expected. The federal court does not come under the parliamentary jurisdiction. The Judiciary Department (Jabatan Kehakiman) and Judiciary Appointment Commission (JAC) are both under the prime minister's department which reports directly to the Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak who is also the prime minister. We cannot blame all those judge...

Higher EPF dividend for 2009

Good News for our workers! The dividend of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for the year ending 2009 is expected to be higher compared to the previous year of 4.50% in 2008. According to source from within the EPF board is expected to meet very soon in order to determine the rate for the dividend. The dividend for the year ending 2009 is expected to be announced by this March once board finalize it. In December, EPF announced that it obtained RM5.5 billion in profits in the third quarter last year, which was an increase of RM696.32 million (14.51 per cent) compared to RM4.8 billion in the previous quarter. Well, this is only the beginning. We hope the EPF will continue to strive harder professionally in order to increase the earnings for the betterment of our workers' savings and their future.

ISA detention isn't enough

Last week, a group of BN youth leaders from MCA, MIC and Gerakan had called on the authorities to detain the prime minister's aide Datuk Nasir Safar under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for his seditious and racist remarks made in a 1Malaysia seminar held in Melaka. We are in the opinion that by detaining Datuk Nasir under the ISA would not be good enough to make him repent for his mistakes. Instead by using ISA, it will make him a hero by the extremist and racist groups. In fact, he should be charged under the Sedition Act and Criminal Penal Code for intending to harm the national security of our nation. His seditious and racist remarks were deemed criminal and harmful to our security and public order as it could cause racial riots, hatred and violence. Besides, his Datukship and other awards that he obtained should also be revoked immediately by the royal households who bestowed the titles to him. As numerous police reports has been lodged against Datuk Nasir, we hope the author...

Coup attempt failed. Zahid's call for royal commission on Penang, a stupid idea

Penang Umno today suggested the setting up of a royal commission to study the feasibility of a Penang Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state government. Its state liaison chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said the commission was suitable as the opposition coalition was always calling for a commission to investigate the Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government’s weaknesses. It is clear that Zahid and his fellows in Umno wanted revenge and he is so childish and foolish to suggest that since PR had always call for royal commissions to investigate BN, they also wanted to call for a royal commission to investigate the Penang PR state government on its position. The difference are the BN federal government led by Umno is full of scandal not weaknesses as claimed by Zahid. BN's scandal all dominated by Umno are the V.K. Lingam scandal, the PKFZ scandal, the F-5E theft scandal, the Defense secrets leaks scandal, the Teoh Beng Hock murder scandal and a lot more which in fact outnumbered scanda...

Why still talk about race?

Why after 52 years of independence, political parties especially Umno still talk about race? Aren't we all Malaysians? Are the Chinese, Indians, Sikhs, Eurasians, Kadazans, Dayaks, Ibans, Muruts and Ceylonese who were born and has been staying in this country for decades still not considered nor qualify as Malaysians? We want to tell Umno and their sponsored NGOs, that no race are "tuan" in this land or country. This country belongs to all of us as Malaysians. To the racist NGOs who demonstrated violently yesterday in Penang, you said your race has been marginalized, sidelined and you equity is not enough, this and that. Don't blame the current Pakatan Rakyat state government. Use your heads and think reasonably instead of acting emotionally. Why after 52 years, your race are still lack behind others and in the rural areas, some are even not schooling to receive proper education? Why majority of them failed in their exams and did not do well in the workforce? Why are ...

Stolen F-5E jet engines found, secrets leaked

Image
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail was the happiest person tonight confirmed that the stolen F-5E jet engines have been located in Uruguay. So what? The theft had became a laughing stock to the entire world because it shows that our nation's security are lack. The two F-5E jet engines were stolen in 2007 and discovered missing one year later, before a police report was lodged. The the lack of security is turning into another episode recently with various information on the national defense being leaked to military attaches of some foreign embassies. And those crooks were merely let off with just a warning letter. Just look at how they run the national security of our nation.
