Nasir says sorry, what is the use?
The prime minister’s former political aide Datuk Nasir Safar today openly apologised to all Malaysians for his derogatory and racist remarks two days ago that undermined Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s 1Malaysia concept.
He said he quit his post at the Prime Minister’s Department to take responsibility for allegedly saying “Indians came to Malaysia as beggars and Chinese especially the women came to sell their bodies”.
What is the use? Damage has been done. Thanks to him, the racial and religious harmony in this nation is again being undermined. Thanks to him, hatred is developing in this nation. And again, thanks to him our nation is being split.
What is the use of him apologizing for his derogatory and racist remarks what he made recently? By apologizing isn't enough to calm our nation multiracial communities. He had already advanced the hatred and instigated hate amongst Malaysians and make our nation a worst place to live for us and our generations to come.
He should be charged under the Sedition Act or held under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for his dangerous acts and remarks.
Najib, if you are sincere about the 1Malaysia concept of yours, then bring him to the authorities and put him behind bars. Same goes to the other Umno members who acted in the same way.
