BN Encouraging a Lawless Culture

The tourism minister and MCA vice-president Ng Yen Yen had condemned the Penang state government's municipal councils in Seberang Perai and Penang Island (MPSP and MPPP) for the removal of the prime minister's ILLEGALLY HUNG Gong Xi Fa Cai banners in the state due to "political reasons".

Both officials of the MPSP and MPPP as well as those in the state government has already clearly stated that those banners or whatever it is which are not approved or without permits will be taken down, be it the prime minister's or any big shots.

In this case, whoever wants to hang up a banner or advertisement would have to submit their applications to obtain the permit to do so in order to ensure all owners of their respective banners, advertisement boards or whatsoever posters are accountable in event these ads becomes damaged, rotten or expired so that these items would not endanger the motorist or other road users in the near future.

Asides, with the permit in hand, owners of such ads would also be aware that whatever they put up at the streets there would not be up there forever or until they are all damaged or drop off. This is to ensure accountability and responsibility on the owners' side to ensure the streets are clean.

So, if the MCA vice-president is complaining about the removal of those illegal prime minister's Gong Xi Fa Cai banners (believed to have been put up by local MCA leaders) from the streets by saying the state government is totally wrong, that means, is Ng Yen Yen saying it is okay to disregard the law for the sake of the Chinese community?

Is Ng Yen Yen saying that, as long as you are in the BN, breaking the law or any rules would be fine, but if you are in the Opposition, then the person would have to suffer the consequences. How would this tourism minister expect our people to "respect" or "vote" for BN if they are the ones who are encouraging a lawless culture in this country? Or should we say, there are two sets of law which applies much freedom for BN to blatantly abuse their powers and misuse the public funds?

BN doesn't respect the law and the rules at all. And they are expecting that we believe in whatever they say. What does MCA stands for now? "Chaos Above Stability".
