Who is trying to Assassinate Who?
We were gravely surprised and shocked to hear from the Penang BN chairman and Gerakan secretary-general Teng Chang Yeow saying that the K-pop singer Psy who was invited to perform in the recent Penang BN Chinese New Year open house in Han Chiang High School has been threatened with an assassination attempt of which had prevented the later from coming up to the state for the "lo shang" together with the prime minister and Umno president Najib Razak.
We were all wondering why would Teng give such an excuse. To cover-up its shame for not being able to persuade Psy to come up to the stage in the name of BN? To cover-up Najib's face after the invitation has been rejected?
We would like to ask Teng, why can't he come up with something which is more believable? Why can't BN just admit it and move on to the next chapter? Why make up such unreasonable stories to cover its losing face scene? Accept the facts that the people in Penang are not in favour of BN anymore.
We are very disappointed, as now even the police follows the stupidity of the BN by saying that the authorities are on the look out for the assassination attempt on Psy's life. Indeed it was a stupid idea to make up such stories.
The fact here is, immediately after the stage show, Psy spent about three hours in a Penang-based Korean restaurant here without any escorts nor bodyguards to look after him. Asides, there's also no sign of any police presence around the area where the Korean restaurant is situated. If the situation is real, we would like to ask the police, why aren't they on their job to protect someone's life who in grave danger? Can the Penang chief police explain to the people on this?
And if the whole thing comes up to be some sort of lies, stupidity or cover-up over an embarrassment, then the Penang BN need to give our people complete and thorough explanation because whatever
Teng had claimed has deliberately created a negative perception on Penang as location for tourist attraction - that this state is hostile and unsafe for international events or tourism promotions. The Penang BN chairman's statement may scare away not only tourists, but also investors or any other potential businesses from coming to Penang.
Secondly, we understand that Psy arrived in Penang from Brazil, a South American nation that was notorious for its criminal gangs, kidnappers, drug cartels and hired assassins. If there's a real attempt to "finish off" this international entertainer, would it be better and even easier to do it over there, rather to wait for him to come over to Penang? Doesn't make any sense isn't it so?
One more last reminder to BN, not only the Penang one but the whole BN organization. We are not interested on who you can or able to bring into this country to perform and entertain. Since 2008 until now, you are only focusing on what you think will attract the crowds, making people happy in such way and then hoping that we would vote for you, but ignoring the real important issues out there.
We are not interested in all that short term attractions at all. We are only interest in how strong is your will in eliminating corruption, power abuse, mismanagement, racism, violence, threat or any other criminal elements in this country.
BN is indeed too incompetent to be even an event organizer, so how can they carry out big issues like governing this nation?
