Unbridled freedom of alternative media harmful
According to the former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, unbridled freedom of alternative media are very harmful as it has channel lies and the untruth to the public. Correction, it is the alternative medias who has been distributing the truth and facts to the people.
Mahathir is still in a denial mode, denying the existence and importance of the alternative medias and the on-line news portals, blogs and worldwide webs services. You know what? It is the traditional mainstream medias (MSM) such as the newspapers and television stations which are the BN government's fully-owned who are the ones distributing racism, hatred, the untruth and lies to our people.
Apart from that, it was also the work of most government-owned MSM covering up the truth from the people, by not reporting the facts, publishing many kinds of reports that are promoting racism, hatred and suspicion among our people.
Malaysia is a democratic nation, and Mahathir has made call to convert this country of ours to dictatorship where all alternative medias would be censored and controlled. Asides, he is also seeking for the violation of our basic human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of expression and to voice our opinion and our all other rights as enshrine under our Federal Constitution.
Besides that, the former prime minister is making this call maybe because he felt that the BN government is on the verge of collapsing and may lose power come next general elections. In this case, he has in fact totally lost confidence in the present BN government under the premiership of Datuk Najib Razak because of the continuous exposure of various scandals, wrongdoings, corruptions, power abuse and mismanagement within the Najib administration which had angered our people.
So, seeking to have all alternative medias to be censored and controlled is a kind of cover-up to all these negative elements? Isn't that right Dr Mahathir? By the way, we supposed you are also afraid that the new administration would one day prosecute you for all your pass wrongdoings and crimes.
