Why Chaos or Violent Clashes if the Opposition Wins?

As the nomination date is drawing nearer, both side of the political divide, Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) are both intensifying their election campaigns nationwide with each trying to outdo one another with their words, promises, programs and plans.

For the PR side, they had been assuring the people and the voters that the situation would be calm and peaceful if the Opposition coalition were to win more seats or achieve victory over Putrajaya. As from the BN side, the leaders of the ruling coalition has only one reminder to the people, if the Opposition wins, there will be chaos, troubles, violence and more often BN leaders will deny that those chaos, troubles and violence were originated from their party supporters and members but continue reminding the people that they would not be able to control those chaos, trouble or violence.

And yesterday, Sabah chief minister Datuk Musa Aman repeated the same old statements which has been repeatedly mentioned by his peninsular counterparts, "if you vote for the Oppositions, there will be chaos in the state". Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad then gave another shot in Johor by saying that there will be a lots of violent clashes if the Opposition were to win over the Gelang Patah parliamentary constituency of which DAP Advisor Lim Kit Siang had announced his candidacy. MCA, the BN candidate has yet to be announced so far.

We wonder why are all these warnings of possible chaos, troubles or violence are always coming from leaders of Umno? And then they would summarily deny that it will be caused by them reasoning that they wouldn't be able to control the situation. Suspicious isn't it so?

If these words were to be from the leaders of the ruling party or coalition, and should such chaos, troubles or violence were to really take place, that means the BN, particularly Umno had ultimately failed in their role of governance and their responsibilities to maintain peace, security and public order. Is this a responsible "Caretaker Government"? Certainly they are not at all, because they are misusing all the government avenues and issuing threats against the people and our nation.

Are BN and Umno leaders openly endorsing Barbarianism and Terrorism as the most effective "weapon" to fight it out against the Oppositions?

Malaysia is a democratic nation, let the general elections takes its place, and let the people vote to decide which political party or coalition of political parties should rule this nation for the new 5-year term. Let the democratic process runs smoothly, peacefully and in a civilized manner. Why does BN wants to disrupt the entire democratic process by reminding the people that there will be chaos, troubles and even violent clashes if the people were to vote for the Opposition parties in the coming general elections?

In a democratic nation like Malaysia, the ruling BN coalition should respect the ultimate existence of the Opposition parties as a platform of check and balance, a symbol of power-sharing between the government and the oppositions in order to move this country forward as a matured nation. In this situation, BN is treating the Opposition parties like a number enemy of the nation that need to be "crushed" at all costs. Is this  a democratic practice in the BN?

We would like to remind all leaders of the BN, particularly of those from Umno to respect the process of democracy, the general elections and the choice of our people. If BN were to lose more seats this time round, be sure that you respect the people's decision, handover the seats or government to the winning parties in peace and not causing any chaos, troubles or violent clashes. Be civilized !

By the way, everyone of us are already aware on who had actually caused the 13th May ethnic violence and clashes in the 1969 general elections. We know who are they. Do not think that we are fools.
