MCA is really insulting our Malaysians

In the Sunday Star newspaper on 21 April 2013 it appeared on page 29 an advertisement which was put up by the MCA in conjunction with the ongoing general elections campaign featuring Ubah For The Worst? Then followed by the word, What can we learn from the Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain Free Fall? The last word of the advertisement then said, Who Says Ubah Is Good For You?

Well, what the MCA is trying to portray here? What has the people's uprising in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain has got to do with the politics here in Malaysia? Is MCA trying to portray that the situation in Malaysia is so much similar to that of Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain, where chaos would eventually take place once the old governments in these countries were toppled?

The other issue here is, MCA is trying to threaten our people with some kind of situation that if the opposition parties were to take over Putrajaya after the general elections, there will be political instability and economic turmoil, follow by civil war in the streets and many more. To our logical thinking on the current Malaysian political situation, we would say MCA had overly twisted the facts until we all saw the error in MCA's entire organizational behaviour.

What is happening in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain are the people's uprising that toppled the respective dictatorial regimes which has been in power for decades via revolution and arm struggle. The second thing here is, the reason why these Arab nations are are chaos after their dictators are removed or toppled is that there are about more than 150 tribes and clans in each of the country and as the result of that they couldn't really determine on who should have the absolute power to rule their countries because every tribes and clans wanted to have the absolute powers in governance.

Whereas in Malaysia, the political situation here is completely the other way round. Our nation has been developed, and our people has been living in a multiracial environment peacefully and in a harmonious way for decades. And we truly believe all Malaysians are matured enough in making their decisions for the good of their generations and the entire nation.

Even though Malaysia is a multiracial country, we do not have between 150 to 200 tribes or clans in this country at all. The composition of ethnics in our nation is consider small as compare with the ones in the Arab region. What we have here are only a number of ethnics and we had proven that we could live together in peace and harmony as compare to the complicated ones in the Arab region which consist of 150 to 200 kinds of tribes and clans per country.

MCA's comparison of Malaysia and the countries in the Arab region is totally impossible and unacceptable at all because both sides are totally different in terms of ethnicity composition, region, division, culture and historical facts. The Arab countries has been at war with each other for centuries with each of them trying to overpower one and another in order to rule the entire region. Did our country undergo such situation (civil unrest and war) decades ago? Ask MCA, they know best! Whatever happened in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Bahrain, is it happening in Malaysia now? Well, ask MCA on this too! Maybe, they would love chaos to happen here so that they could take advantage on this.

Another issue that MCA is pretending not to be aware of is the case of political leaders playing with people's emotions. Did that happen in our nation? What our people are really aware of today, is Umno (MCA's dominant master in the BN coalition) leaders has been trying to stir up people's emotions all this while by instilling the culture of hate, fear and violence through racism, religion and pulling the royal families into political scene as well. Then, Umno has decided to endorse Perkasa by picking up its leaders to contest under the BN's banner. So, is MCA really unaware of such situation within the BN coalition itself? Is MCA trying to insult our intelligence as well?

Let us not letting ourselves being hooked up with all these MCA's imagination and insults at all but instead, focus on the betterment of our nation.
