MIC dictator purged party sec-gen, party is doomed

Image
MIC dictator Samy Vellu has fired S Murugesan as the party's secretary-general with immediate effect. He has been replaced with Negeri Sembilan MIC chairman T. Rajagobalu. Murugesan, who was appointed by the president, had irked Samy Vellu after he openly criticised the latter for using his presidential powers to sack four party members. He had earlier disagreed with the president's decision to axe MIC Youth deputy chief V.Mugilan, CWC members KP Samy and G.Kumar Amman and Petaling Jaya division chairman V.Subramaniam. The fifth purge also serves a reminder to all its party leaders and members that Samy Vellu is still in firm grip of the party and his promise made earlier to relinquish his presidency next year may not yet be an actual promise as it is his presidential right to say and withdraw what he had said. It shows that MIC is firmly behind Samy Vellu, because MIC is a private limited company where Samy Vellu is the majority shareholder of the said entity. That is why...

Image
Four Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) students, Muhammad Hilman bin Idham, Muhammad Ismail bin Aminuddin, Azlin Shafina Mohamad Adzha and Woon King Chai are second year Political Science students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) who have been charged by university authorities because they were found to be in the vicinity of the Hulu Selangor by-election and allegedly "showing support, sympathy or opposition" towards political parties in Malaysia. They are required to attend university disciplinary proceedings which will be held at the Bilik Mesyuarat Canselori UKM from 2 to 3 June next month. These four student has been charged under the University and University Colleges Act 1971 (UUCA) for allegedly expressing their political views openly. From the facts we had gathered on these four students, it has been confirmed that the purpose of their presence in the Hulu Selangor by-election recently was to conduct their academic studies, research and observation on thei...

Wake up NUJ and KJA!

Image
When we heard the statements made by both the National Union of Journalist (NUJ) and the Kelantan Journalist Association (KJA) for voicing their dissatisfaction over the entry ban of Utusan Malaysia journalist in the Penang state government office complex and the latest ban from entering the Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) 6th National Congress held in Kota Bahru, we are gravely disappointed with the total ignorance of both the NUJ and KJA on Utusan Malaysia. We do not know if both the NUJ and KJA are really ignorant of what is happening in Utusan Malaysia or they just turned away the facts. Well, if NUJ and KJA really do not know, let us all tell them about Utusan Malaysia. Utusan Malaysia is a newspaper wholly owned by Umno, the dominant politically race based party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. In many occasions, Utusan journalists wrote and made false reports which regards to current political development in our country. Besides, Utusan journalists also wrote and made ...

BN's subsidy cuts. Are they really reforms?

Image
Recently the Umno-led BN federal government had announced several subsidy cuts to be implemented very soon. According to the prime minister who is also the Umno president, the implementations will be carried out very soon. OK, we would like to ask the prime minister, does your subsidy cutting plans includes reforms on how the government spending is running? Just a little and simple example, are you really able to get rid of the "one calculator costs about RM250/unit" cases which were found blatantly wild in various government departments and agencies? The other thing, is Najib able to get rid of all those Umno dominated contract jobs? A syndrome that all government contracts must be awarded to Umno branch and division chairmen. Because these Umno leaders who handle government contracts does not usually come clean. About 98 percent, or should we say almost all Umno contractors who got the contracts awarded to them do not really perform those jobs on their own. They again subco...

PKR must change and enhance its image

Image
The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) National Congress which began yesterday with the initial national conventions of its Youth (AMK) and Wanita Wings that was followed by its main National Congress today at the Kota Bahru Trade Centre in Kelantan. PKR which has been affected by series of defections and betrayals with its members of parliament and state assemblymen leaving the party must work very hard to reinvent and rejuvenate itself, of which it should start from the top leadership themselves. Given to the fact that PKR membership and its leadership as well today are mostly consist of ex-Umno, MCA and MIC leaders and members must work hard to shed off its ex-Umno or ex-BN images and build up a new image as a strong, formidable and trustworthy opposition party to be at par with its Pakatan Rakyat coalition partners, DAP and PAS. As such the top leadership of the party must make their first moves, by appointing more from the younger generations to groom them to take the lead in the future....

Abolish UUCA if you are sincere, BN told

Image
Last week the deputy higher education minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah complained of the poor response to the Speakers' Corners created at the higher education institutions. He also grumbled that in some of the universities, there is not even an activity at all since the Speakers' Corner was launched four months back. We are just wondering why is the deputy higher education minister so surprise of the poor and non-response of the Speakers' Corner created in the universities? Is he pretending no to know it or is he really an idiot who really doesn't know what is in his government? First of all, students with full wisdom and maturity would never go to the Speakers' Corner to try to speak their minds out because they knew that if they speak up, then they will be charged under the University and University Colleges Act (UUCA). Under the provisions of the UUCA, university students are not allowed to criticize the government, make political commentaries, speak up freely ...

The arrogance of Umno in the BN coalition continues

This is how Umno is treating its Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition partners. MCA was the first to be victimized, then Gerakan, after that SAPP got the kick and later MIC. And Umno is again demonstrating its overlordship and arrogance in Sabah as well. The Kalabakan Umno division is asking that the party and Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership return the Merotai state seat to Umno. Its division head Abdul Ghapur Salleh on Thursday, May 20 claimed that the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which had been representing the seat for two terms, had failed to bring any change to the constituency. The Merotai seat is represented by Pang Yuk Ming from LDP, one of the BN component parties in Sabah. Previously the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) left the BN coalition in Sabah because of the arrogance of Umno over its BN coalition partners in the state and the failure of Umno to resolve various issues related to the well-being of the Sabahans.

DPM: BN will uphold campaign pledges. Is he telling the truth?

Image
The Barisan Nasional will uphold its campaign pledges to the Sibu electorate despite losing the seat by 398 votes, Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today. The deputy prime ministerā€™s promise went against the prime minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razakā€™s earlier statement that BN would rethink its campaign pledges to Sibu, including RM5 million to alleviate flood woes in the Chinese-dominated Rajang Park suburb. DAP state chairman Wong Ho Leng wrested the Sibu seat at his fourth attempt, breaking the ruling coalitionā€™s decades-long hold on the timber town. Despite pumping in nearly RM20 million into the Sibu by-election by giving RM15 million to schools and RM1.75 million to four Methodist churches, the ruling coalition lost its stronghold to the DAP. The answer is very simple, because you only bring in the cash when there is an election. And when you lost the election, you want to avenge the defeat by withdrawing your pledge to the people reason...

BN lost, but continue its blame on DAP

Image
The Sarawak BN's lost in the Sibu parliamentary by-election is seen as a grieve setback to its component and participating party, the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP). Until then, the leaders of SUPP had refused to concede defeat even at the final hour before the announcement of the results were out last night. Well the announcement has been made anyway and it said DAP had won and BN lost. The BN and SUPP leaders were disappointed, the deputy prime minister dumped the BN candidate Robert Lau and flew back to Putrajaya even before the results were known, because he already knew, the vote had already swing in favour of DAP. However, the BN leaders are still in a denial mode. They refused to accept the fact that their defeat shows that they are no longer "powerful" in Sarawak after decades of manipulation of the people's human rights there. The BN leaders in Sarawak denied that they had lost their ground, but instead blamed DAP and Pakatan Rakyat because they exp...

BN pressuring EC to cheat in its vote counting

Image
Not satisfying of the outcome that had clearly shown that the DAP is in fact the winner of the Sibu parliamentary by-election, the BN leaders, particularly from the Umno, PBB and SUPP are putting their pressure onto the Election Commission (EC) officials to ensure their victory at all cost. The BN wants by hook or by crook to win this by-election. The postal votes counting had been recount on and on and its results were purposely delayed up to more than an hour now. Meanwhile, all top DAP leaders are waiting at Wisma Sanyan, where the postal ballots were counted. Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng told the press that he is worried ā€œsomething suspicious could be going onā€ and he hopes that the EC officials can release the Form 15, a document which certifies the final result of the postal ballots. At the same time DAP Advisor Lim Kit Siang also questioned the long EC hold-up of the postal ballot results.

Sime Darby mismanagement, chief exec asked to leave immediately

Image
The shares of top conglomerate Sime Darby Bhd took a tumble after news that Sime Darby president and group chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Zubir Murshid was asked to take a leave of absence. Ahmad Zubir was told to leave following concerns about costs overruns from the Bakun dam project. Sime Darby expects to make a loss of RM964 million in this quarter due to cost overruns from the Bakun dam and three other energy projects. This is yet another case of mismanagement of funds in the government link company (GLC). Who were the responsible top executives for all those losses incurred? Why isn't there a proper auditing of its finances and accounts all these years? Since Sime Darby is a GLC, the representation in its board of directors are certainly from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, The Minister of Finance Incorporated as well as the Prime Minister's Department Economic Planning Unit (EPU). And if Sime Darby were to make a loss of RM964 million in this quarter, that means all these governme...

Another coup d'etat in Kedah state?

Image
Rumours are running high in the Kedah state of the possibility of another Umno engineered coup d'etat on its way after what they had done to Perak. For this time, we would not know what is the state Umno up to. Will the coup d'etat end up in bloodshed or violent one? No one knows. But it is a must now, that everyone in the Kedah Pakatan Rakyat state government and the people as well, should get themselves ready for every possibilities that may come right in front of them. First an Umno sponsored defection of some state assemblymen, secondly "by hook or by crook" method by using force to oust the state government, or maybe organizing yet another May 13 incident rallies in the state in order to provoke a racial like sentiments. Then, they will bring in the security force in order to "crack down" the dissidents in the state and retake the state administration on grounds of national security. After that, when situation calm, the so-called "militia administr...

To repeat May 13 tragedy. For what?

Image
Recently we got to know that a bunch of political morons are out to terrorize our fellow Malaysians again. This time they wanted to organize a May 13 rally in Kuala Terengganu in order to remind all Malaysians the consequences of another May 13 tragedy if we were to vote or speak against the Umno dominated Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government. The main organizers of this so-called May 13 rally are the two racist and extremist NGOs called Perkasa and Gertak. If you could get an accurate English translation these two names mean "Greatness" and "Heck". If you are an innocent guy who came across of these two words, it would mean arrogance, violence, hate and chauvinism. First of all why are these two moron racist and extremist NGOs so vengeful to all Malaysians? Why raise their voice, issue threats, showing off their parangs, keris or any other weapons to scare all Malaysians and to let us know of their superiority and supreme status. What is that so great about Per...

Pull together in Sibu, Najib tells BN "to ensure its timber corruption continues"

Image
Every member of the Barisan Nasional (BN) and the machinery for the Sibu parliamentary by-election must be committed and inspired to ensure victory for the BN on polling day on May 16, said Datuk Seri Najib Razak. With this, it will ensure that every leaders of the Sarawak BN will have an absolute control over the timber concessions in the state. As the result, the state's natural resources will soon be wiped out by all these greedy Sarawak BN leaders, particularly those from PBB, SUPP, PRS and SPDP as well as Umno who were the ones pulling the strings of the alleged BN's "multiracial puppet shows". This means, the Bumiptras in Sarawak, particularly the majority tribes of Dayaks and Ibans will be continue to be exploited and misplaced. They had no where to go and no one to turn to. The Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) has been destroyed by the PBB engineered factional fightings, SNAP is still in limbo following the de-registration by the ROS and subsequent court ap...

We all knew who started the 13 May 1969 riots, killings and rapes

Image
We all knew the facts of the 13 May 1969 racial riots. It was actually started by the Umno leaders at that time who felt that they are all in the verge of losing their political powers and positions following the defeat of the Alliance coalition (currently known as Barisan Nasional) in the general elections, where the opposition and socialist blocs had gained significant victories. Just because they did not want to recognize the electoral gains of the opposition and socialist blocs and put the blame on the then prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, a radical faction led by Tun Abdul Razak decided to launch a coup d'etat to force the Tunku out from his position. A plot was hatched in order to take the entire nation down into chaos. The Umno storm troopers then launched a violent offensive against the Malaysian people. As a result, thousand of innocent Malaysians were brutally killed, murdered and raped by these racist barbarians. Their plan was successful because the major...

Penang Umno's threat of a May 13 riot an act of terrorism

Image
The Penang Umno secretary who is also the Umno's state assembly opposition leader Datuk Azhar Ibrahim today made a threat at the state assembly sitting saying that the May 13 racial riots could erupt again if the people continue to lose their confidence on the police force. Yes, we all had already lost confidence on the credibility of the police force. So, that is why, when the police are no more to be seen in the streets, Umno would want to take this opportunity to start and repeat the May 13 racial riots in order to kill their rivals and political opponents as well as the opposition supporters, burning down cities and towns as well as to carry out their so-called "ethnic cleansing. And this is what Umno had wanted to do all these while. To instill fear and hatred so they can become a powerful supreme draconian lord over others. Umno and its leaders are indeed terrorist and a threat to our nation's public security.

Electoral authoritarianism

Image
Freedom is under attack across Southeast Asia ā€“ By Moritz Kleine-Brockhoff Several states in Southeast Asia show little prospect of political reform and pluralism: Singapore, Vietnam, Laos and Brunei continue to be governed by authoritarian regimes. The international community more or less accepts repression there. These days hardly anybody notices, much less complains, when opposition politician Chee Soon Juan goes to jail once again in Singapore or dissidents remain incarcerated in Vietnam. Measured repression ā€“ enough to ensure political control at home, not enough to cause international ostracism ā€“ is a common recipe in Southeast Asia. In Singapore and Malaysia, tightly controlled elections are part of a mix political scientist Andreas Schedler refers to as ā€œelectoral authoritarianismā€: Privileged ruling parties oppress the opposition, elections are unfair, the judiciary is biased and citizens lack freedom of assembly, speech or the press. Most ASEAN leaders seem to ...

IPCMC must be established soonest

Image
The Independent Police Complaints and Misconducts Commission (IPCMC) must be established as soon as possible in order to quickly address the current imbalance and injustice nature in the police force. Base on the facts of the continuous police brutality, injustice political treatment, wide spread corruption, violation of human rights, violation of democracy, violation of freedom and the most recent killing of a 15 year old child had in fact turned the entire section of the public against the police force. We want to ask, why did the inspector-general of police (IGP) and the rest of the top brass are so afraid of the establishment of the IPCMC? Are they afraid that their misdeeds will soon be discovered and dug out by the IPCMC investigators if the commission's bill were to be tabled and approved by the parliament? Are they afraid of the IPCMC because they knew that they are not clean? The formation of the IPCMC is not to pressure the police force nor to penalize them for nothing. ...

Yes, they are not racist. They are extremist!

Image
Recently the an Umno supreme council member Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said that the Organization of Peribumi Greatness (Perkasa) is not racist. Yes, it is true that we cannot say that Perkasa is a racist organization because branding them by only this name isn't sufficient. They are in fact more of being a racist. They should be called extremist and terrorist instead of just being only labelled only as racist. Perkasa is an organization that will bring about disunity in the near future, Perkasa is an organization that will bring about racial disintegration in the near future, Perkasa is an organization that will bring disharmony to our multiracial communities in the near future. Perkasa threatens the national unity and our identities as Malaysians. Perkasa wanted to ensure the continuous dominance and greatness of one race and religion over the others. Perkasa seeks to identify itself as the champion of only one race and religion and to claim lordship over others. If Perkasa is allowed...

The kid's murder, failed IPCMC, "ketuanan" politics and what we really knew?

Looking at the fatal shooting and murder of a 15 year old boy named Aminulrasyid Amzah recently and the immature statement made by the inspector-general of police (IGP) Tan Sri Musa Hasan threatening to withdraw the entire police force from the security and public safety jobs in the streets had indeed made the public widely open up their eyes to realize that how inefficient the police force was. The police force is in dire need of a proper and professional systems of guidance in order to ensure its action does not go against its actual policing responsibilities. An independent and balance kind of establishment is needed to properly guide and monitor the actions of the police force to ensure its standard operating procedures are adhered to. Because the death of Aminulrasyid was the might be cause of the police negligence, the police top brass cannot just simply say that they will conduct their investigation and no one can interfere nor scrutinizing its efforts. This involves public inte...
