MIC dictator purged party sec-gen, party is doomed

MIC dictator Samy Vellu has fired S Murugesan as the party's secretary-general with immediate effect. He has been replaced with Negeri Sembilan MIC chairman T. Rajagobalu.

Murugesan, who was appointed by the president, had irked Samy Vellu after he openly criticised the latter for using his presidential powers to sack four party members. He had earlier disagreed with the president's decision to axe MIC Youth deputy chief V.Mugilan, CWC members KP Samy and G.Kumar Amman and Petaling Jaya division chairman V.Subramaniam.

The fifth purge also serves a reminder to all its party leaders and members that Samy Vellu is still in firm grip of the party and his promise made earlier to relinquish his presidency next year may not yet be an actual promise as it is his presidential right to say and withdraw what he had said.

It shows that MIC is firmly behind Samy Vellu, because MIC is a private limited company where Samy Vellu is the majority shareholder of the said entity. That is why he possess all the powers to act against anyone who question or criticize his leadership.

MIC is doomed, MIC is a failed entity and if the Malaysian Indian community continue their support for MIC and Samy Vellu, then all shall be doomed and fail as well. The purpose of MIC today is to enrich its political elites which consist the 'golongan bangsawan India".

If MIC's claim that they had fully fought for the rights and welfare of the Malaysian Indian community, would there be Hindraf today? Why is there a Makkal Sahkti Party? Why is there Indian Progressive Front (IPF)? Why is there a Malaysian United Indian Party (MUIP)? Why is there a Human Rights Party?

Why are they so many of these alternative political parties for Indians? This is because MIC had failed, MIC did not fight and stand for the Malaysian Indian community. MIC is only for the "golongan bangsawan India". MIC only fought and protect this elite community and not the entire community. MIC is doomed.

Just look at the picture above, about their grievances brought to the streets. Because MIC does not care. That is why these people were upset and went to the streets to make their voices heard. Instead, Samy Vellu called these people terrorists.

MIC only exist in name for the sake of Umno, MIC is already gone. Do not ever vote for MIC again in the next general election.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

No action against YBs without speaker's consent

Penang assembly Speaker Law Choo Kiang said the police and attorney-general (AG) cannot prosecute any elected representatives for any wrongdoings committed in the House. Law said the authorities cannot act on the assemblypersons without the agreement of the speaker. "So this clearly cancels the (planned) charge against Seri Delima assemblyperson RSN Rayer for sedition under the 1948 Sedition Act," the PKR Bukit Tambun assemblyperson said in a statement yesterday. Law said a warning based on the assembly's standing orders has been issued to Rayer not to repeat the remark "Umno celaka" (damned Umno), which the latter allegedly uttered in the House on May 20.
