BN pressuring EC to cheat in its vote counting
Not satisfying of the outcome that had clearly shown that the DAP is in fact the winner of the Sibu parliamentary by-election, the BN leaders, particularly from the Umno, PBB and SUPP are putting their pressure onto the Election Commission (EC) officials to ensure their victory at all cost.
The BN wants by hook or by crook to win this by-election. The postal votes counting had been recount on and on and its results were purposely delayed up to more than an hour now.
Meanwhile, all top DAP leaders are waiting at Wisma Sanyan, where the postal ballots were counted. Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng told the press that he is worried “something suspicious could be going on” and he hopes that the EC officials can release the Form 15, a document which certifies the final result of the postal ballots.
At the same time DAP Advisor Lim Kit Siang also questioned the long EC hold-up of the postal ballot results.
