DPM: BN will uphold campaign pledges. Is he telling the truth?

The Barisan Nasional will uphold its campaign pledges to the Sibu electorate despite losing the seat by 398 votes, Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today.

The deputy prime minister’s promise went against the prime minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s earlier statement that BN would rethink its campaign pledges to Sibu, including RM5 million to alleviate flood woes in the Chinese-dominated Rajang Park suburb.

DAP state chairman Wong Ho Leng wrested the Sibu seat at his fourth attempt, breaking the ruling coalition’s decades-long hold on the timber town.

Despite pumping in nearly RM20 million into the Sibu by-election by giving RM15 million to schools and RM1.75 million to four Methodist churches, the ruling coalition lost its stronghold to the DAP.

The answer is very simple, because you only bring in the cash when there is an election. And when you lost the election, you want to avenge the defeat by withdrawing your pledge to the people reasoning that the people are being "ungrateful" because they did not support you.

Well, if this is the case, then withdraw and keep all your cash. We will vote you out in the next election be it state or parliamentary ones. We will vote you out for sure.

By the way, what is BN? It could be Bumi Neraka!
