The kid's murder, failed IPCMC, "ketuanan" politics and what we really knew?

Looking at the fatal shooting and murder of a 15 year old boy named Aminulrasyid Amzah recently and the immature statement made by the inspector-general of police (IGP) Tan Sri Musa Hasan threatening to withdraw the entire police force from the security and public safety jobs in the streets had indeed made the public widely open up their eyes to realize that how inefficient the police force was.

The police force is in dire need of a proper and professional systems of guidance in order to ensure its action does not go against its actual policing responsibilities. An independent and balance kind of establishment is needed to properly guide and monitor the actions of the police force to ensure its standard operating procedures are adhered to.

Because the death of Aminulrasyid was the might be cause of the police negligence, the police top brass cannot just simply say that they will conduct their investigation and no one can interfere nor scrutinizing its efforts.

This involves public interest as a whole and we as the public has our every rights to scrutinize every government agencies and not only the police force alone for not performing up to the standards.

IGP Musa must also realize that what he said recently, threatening to withdraw the force from policing the streets is not good for himself, very improper and only invites more condemnation onto the police force.

If Musa wants to regain his popularity by initiating such actions, resign as IGP immediately, leave all your ranks, badges, medals and uniforms behind and contest in the next general elections to see if the public and voters really accept all your actions.

We are very certain that the public and voters will never forgive Musa for his active role in providing its security forces to support the Perak Umno's coup d'etat to topple the elected state government there and helped to installed an Umno-led rebel state government in the early of February last year.

Besides the police force's active role in supporting Umno-led rebel state government in Perak and suppressing of the public outcries in the state over the dissolution of the democratic institution in the state, the security force also played a number of role behind scene on behalf of Umno to suppress the rising popularity of the opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat.

The police force under Musa's command claimed that they are policing the country to ensure security and public safety, but there are no real policing effort so far from the federal government to ensure the police carry out its duties and responsibilities in the best interest of the people.

Despite numerous calls and repeated urges from all corners of public and our people to have the Independent Police Complaints and Misconducts Commission (IPCMC) to be set up to guide the actions of the police force, the Umno-led federal government continue to ignore it, a very clear fact that Umno wanted to rely heavily on the police to ensure its political security instead of public security.

Right now, it has been a wide open secret that the police Special Branch (SB) had the best and highest financial allocations and funding as compared to other police divisions. Besides, it is also understood that the SB's strength had over the years increased from a small divisional levels for local and district duties and responsibilities into a number of regiments and command centres for the purpose of performing national political intelligence and spying on the various political elements, suppression of opposition movements and so on.

The entire police force had indeed turned into a "KGB alike political security apparatus" aimed to advance the interest and the security of the dominant political party, Umno so that it can continue to remain in power for as long as it can.

That is why the proposed IPCMC has been continuously ignored, despite popular public support. Because Umno relies heavily on the police force for its political survival, the security force is threatening Umno that they will withdraw their security and intelligence support should IPCMC Bill is tabled in the parliament and come into force.

This means, the police force had actually became a component member of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. As long as Umno remain governing the federal government, we strongly believe that the police force will never be able to improve itself to become a strong and professional security organization free from all political interests.

What the public wants, what the voters want and what most of all of us want from the federal government? Yes, we want democracy, justice, equality and freedom! But can they give us all these? No! They will not give even an inch or a centimeter. Because if all these four subjects are implemented, they will loose their powers and positions.

So, change is the only option we have, but the problem is, simply because some of these people are still relying heavily on the federal government's corruptions, cronyism, nepotism, subsidies, grants, public funds to survive.

Just look at how tainted the BN election machinery in the just concluded Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-elections, billions of Ringgit of public funds are poured into the constituency for the purpose of "developments" and "public allocations" as alleged by the Umno president.

If the Umno-led federal government had really gone broke because of the high numbers of by-elections since last year, then where did the money came from. It is a definite one, Umno controls the finance ministry who in turn controls the Bank Negara and that is where all the money came from. If the funds are insufficient, then, the finance ministry will authorize the printing of more cash to fill the bags and cases again in order to fund Umno's political adventures continuously.

Are you all able to tolerate these longer? Come on, the current establishment is rusting and had outdated. It continues to deplore the rules of the jungle onto the entire nation.

It is a wake up call! Stand up and show these political hookers that this country is ours.
