Military action against Sulu terrorists may boost BN support in GE13?

Initiating the military action as the last resort against all those Sulu terrorists who came ramming into Lahad Datu, Sabah would boost Barisan Nasional (BN) support in the upcoming 13th general election (GE13)? Would that be possible? Well, for those who felt in such a way may not have felt or experience the direct impact as the result of the intrusion of these terrorists in any way.

The Sabahans there felt it in fact. Many Sabahans are now questioning the BN government (both the state government and Putrajaya) on why would they have to take too long to end this crisis and to prevent it from spreading deeper into the state.

The core question on the government's weak response and some inaction is when the home affairs minister and Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein declared that these Sulu terrorist were neither militants nor terrorists. So, is it because of such an irresponsible remark by the minister, no one from the government side has ever dare to propose a stern military action against these terrorists?

The second thing here is, we all know that all these Sulu terrorists who came into Sabah with heavy arms and ammunitions with the aim of declaring war and invading the territorial grounds of our nation. The major thing here is these terrorists are heavily armed, well-trained, with years of war experience in their homeland during the Moro insurgency against the Philippines government. So, is the government aware that these bunch of terrorists are completely different from any normal criminals or crooks of which you can find in the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru or wherever it is, you name it? In this case, what is the point of prolonging the heist and negotiating with these group who has already been certified as terrorists?

Third, if these are terrorists and they are heavily armed, intending to threaten, declare war and to invade this country, why in the initial stage, only the police force are mobilized to counter the war efforts which is being carried out by these Sulu terrorists? Does the police force have the sufficient combat experience? Does the police force have sufficient and effective fire power to hit back at those terrorists? We are certainly confident that none of our policemen and officers who were assigned to Lahad Datu recently have any past combat nor tactical experience in dealing with such a real and tense situation. We supposed all those policemen who were assigned to address the situation were also convinced by their superiors that these Sulu terrorists are not dangerous as they are neither militants nor terrorists, as suggest by their home affairs minister.

Fourth, something is very wrong with our nations military and security defense system. When these Sulu terrorists were on their way to Lahad Datu, entering into our nation's waters, our country's defense line does not seem to be working at all. Aren't the radars of the Navy, Maritime and the Air Force working? Where are the famous Scorpene submarines which was procured by our prime minister Najib Razak, when he was defense minister? Where are all those MIG and Sukhoi fighter jets which were bought to strengthen our nation's defense lines? The real problem here are, even the preventive actions has totally failed until these terrorists has all the confidence in getting into our country undetected and unseen..

Then, was the entire episode a political agenda? From the day one, it seems to be like one, since Hishammuddin declared that these Sulu terrorists were neither militants nor terrorists. With what has been declared by this minister himself earlier has already demonstrate that there are some political motives in it. We would not have the clear fact if all these chapter would have got to do with the Project IC (issuance of Mykad, Malaysian citizenship and voting rights to illegal immigrants in Sabah) which is currently under the investigation by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on the Illegal Immigrants in Sabah. The RCI's current sitting and hearing has been adjourned until further notice due to the current situation in Sabah. It looks political motive, isn't it so?

Then, in order to divert the "political motive" away from BN, Umno then made up some stories that these Sulu terrorists' intrusion in Lahad Datu was in connection with a plot hatched by the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) together with the Sulu Sultan and then further published a two-decades old blur photographs of Anwar Ibrahim (current Opposition Leader and former deputy prime minister) sitting together with the MNLF chairman Nur Misuari, in order to shift the blame to the current Opposition bloc.

So, do you think "A Last Minute Military Action" against those Sulu terrorists would bring more votes to the BN side if the GE13 were to take place soon? Let us all use our wisdom first before we decide to whom we wish cast our votes to. Do it not for any particular political parties, but for the best interests of our nation.
