Malaysia will go bankrupt if politicization of economy continues
We had heard a number of views recently from the leaders of the Barisan Nasional (BN), particularly the former premier Mahathir Mohamad, the Umno president Najib Razak, MCA president Chua Soi Lek and so on who repeatedly mention and reminding our people the fact that if Pakatan Rakyat (Pakatan) were to assume power after the 13th general elections, the entire nation would definitely go bankrupt.
Well, how did they know that? It is because they got the information from the recently released Pakatan electoral manifesto which cited a more people-friendly and welfare related policies in its proposed governance, if they were to come to power after the general elections.
Actually, the matter of whether this country would go bankrupt or not are not for the BN leaders to decide or dictate. Whoever takes over the governance of this nation after the general elections will not give any major impact to our country if the economy of our nation is being managed professionally. What do we mean the economy is being managed professionally? That means a stable economy is a business that is not being politicized, not politically connected and politics does not mix with the economy.
So, just look at the current situation here in our nation. Who is actually mixing up politics with our nation's economy thus resulting to the much uncertainties in our nation. Even the share market is not performing as expected, all because it is always following the trend of the politics of the ruling elites in this country. This kind of politics in economy is in fact only benefiting the ruling elites and in the end of the day, the ordinary people like us are not getting nor enjoying anything at all.
The inflation rate is on the rise almost everyday. Do you think if you can really enjoy your retirement immediately after you retire at the age of 55 and 60 years respectively. Do you think you can ever survive with the mere EPF savings you got after retirement? Look, even some basic millionaires are struggling to meet ends daily. Having at least RM500,000 in your bank account would not guarantee that you will survive in the long run if the inflation in this country continue to rise.
Furthermore, if corruption and power abuse continue to be blatantly grow within our nation's administration and economic structure, our nation would certainly head towards bankruptcy. Just look at Greece and Italy, the governments treasuries of these two nation are near emptied.
Then, awarding contracts and works to unqualified contractors, ruling elites' cronies, their children or political associates, who will then sub-contract their numerous contract awards or jobs to the other sub-contractors and charging the principal (government) with an all-above market price of more than 150 to 200 percent, but in the end, the jobs were not completed as scheduled, with such practice too will eventually resulted to the bankruptcy to our nation.
And now, the current government is giving our cash to everyone in the name of the 1Malaysia brand in order to make us all happy and vote for them in the coming general elections. What we understand that some of those cash incentives and vouchers has been misused by some ruling politicians for their own benefits. What would be the impact to our people and children in the end? Our people and children would think that money would come easily and they would not have to work all their way to earn them; if they are not working, the government will give them money; if they suffer from business setbacks, the government will pay for them and many more. Why does this government wants to implant such negative impacts onto our people? For the short term of the ruling elites at the expense of our people.
So, who are the ones currently trying to politicize the economy of our nation right now? Who are those who are now using up the public funds in order to fish for more votes and support for the upcoming general elections? Our people are not fools anymore like what the current government is thinking. The people knows where are those money originated from.
In this case, the true fact here is, if the economy of this country is continue to be politicized by the current government, the entire nation would eventually goes bankrupt. If the current sitting government continues to allow corruption and power abuse within its administration and the economy to increase, as well as many kinds of mismanagement from within remain unchecked and unresolved, the entire nation would also eventually goes bankrupt.
If the entire nation goes bankrupt, would it be insane to blame the Oppositions when the later has yet to even take over the government? Go after the current sitting government right there in Putrajaya.
