Former premier calling for hate and racism to retake Selangor

Recently, the former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad mentioned that Selangor must be saved from the Opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat who is currently governing the state as rights and positions of the Malays and Bumiputras in the state are being threatened by the later's current administration.

Dr Mahathir also added that if the Opposition coalition continues to rule Selangor after the 13th general elections, the position of the Malays and Bumiputras are going to be shunted aside once and forever. What was Dr Mahathir trying to say to the people of Selangor was the Malays and Bumiputras would be pushed out from state of Selangor if Pakatan were to continue ruling the state.

It looks like Dr Mahathir is using hatred and racism by urging all Malays and Bumiputras to rise against the current Selangor state government. It is certainly deemed as seditious, as he was trying to incite racial hatred so that chaos would take place in the state during the general elections. According to the former prime minister again, the Selangor state government was also trying to do away with the special privileges of the Malays and the Bumiputras as well.

In order to prove his allegations, Dr Mahathir should at least list down all the evidences of the current state government's alleged discrimination on the Malays and the Bumiputras. Being an elderly statesmen and retired leader, he should maintain his respectable stature and not involving nor interfering in the Umno's current politics of race and hate by letting the nation's current leadership take charge on its own.

If the Selangor state government is really discriminating the Malay and Bumiputra communities, why was there a Malay Selangor Menteri Besar who is running the current administration? And why even the Sultan of Selangor still exists? Even so, the Selangor state religious authorities are also still existing and functioning till today. Malays and Bumiputras still dominate the entire structure of the civil service in the state, and they are also a lots of Malays and Bumiputra professionals working in the state happily and living peacefully amongst the multiracial establishment.

Dr Mahathir, what is wrong with you? Are you suffering from a severe brain cancer by forgetting that it has been your vision during your premiership that a Bangsa Malaysia would exist in our nation one day. But you are now turning the other way round by using hate and racism in an attempt to overthrow an elected state government whose mandate was given by the people on March 2008.

The former premier also advised our people not to allow motion to rule the day when choosing a government come next general elections, but what he has been saying earlier was in fact overly emotional and dangerous where he is calling for a particular race and religion to hate the other.

Anyway, just follow what he said, "Vote a proven party that had been responsible to the voters and willing to serve the people". Then, let us vote for a proven party!
