How many more "heroes" does the BN government wants to create?
With the latest increase on the casualties on the police force today from two to five, we are now asking the sitting BN government in Putrajaya, how many more "heroes" do they want to create? What we mean, how many more deaths do they want to have on the police force?
For more than two weeks, the home affairs ministry has given a lots of opportunities for these Sulu terrorists to group up, planned and strategies in whatever they are doing in order to "win" this battle. We know there are already more than ten Sulu terrorists has been killed, but with five policemen has been killed in action now, what was the worth? Does presenting medals, awards and pensions to all these dead policemen's families being back those who has gone?
Worst still now, there are reports that these Sulu terrorists are getting some reinforcements landed into Sabah without even being detected by the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) or the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) warships and patrol vessels respectively. Since there are already so many terrorists intrusion into Sabah, why are these terrorists' reinforcement able to continue intruding Sabah? Wasn't the RMN and MMEA supposed to on standby at our Malaysian waters over there to look out for any possible of more terrorists trying sail into our nation's waters and land? What went wrong?
The situation now is getting more critical and why is the military not taking over the entire operation? Didn't the prime minister aware that there are four Malaysians taken hostage and there could be more if these terrorists were to go deeper into Sabah? Looks like the prime minister is just sitting down and watch, while the home affairs minister is trying to become the hero at the expense of his police personnel by not letting the defense minister to take over and to roll in the military for action.
So, whatever the BN government had spent under the defense budget to upgrade the military with the latest equipment, arsenals, fighter jets, naval vessels and submarines are now wasted as they are not taken out to be fully utilized when our nation is under threat. The MIG-29, F/A-18 Hornets, Sukhoi-30M fighter planes, the Scorpene submarines, some modern naval patrol vessels (NPV) and Russian-made battle tanks, where are they now when our nation is in need of all these equipment for defense?
According to the home affairs minister and Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein, these Sulu intruders are neither militants nor terrorists. So, what are they? What do you call these armed men who are carrying heavy weapons, arsenals, explosives, rocket launchers and well-trained in combat? For your information, these Sulu terrorists has been fighting in the Southern Philippines for decades during the Moro Muslims insurgency. What combat experience does our Police Field Force (Pasukan Gerak Am - PGA) has in countering such threat? Yes we know they all well-trained and ready for any battle, but the problem is they do not have any exposures on actual combat, search and kill situation.
As such, we would like to urge Hishammuddin and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ismail Omar to stop trying to be a hero and past the baton of the operation to the military at once before many more death occur and ending up with whole Sabah falling into the hands of the "Sulu Sultanate".
