BN's Troublemaking, Threat, Violence and Dictatorship. Are these called democracy?

Just a few days ago, when DAP held its programme and walkabout in Teluk Intan, BN supporters believed to be from Umno, MCA and MIC rammed into the crowds with the BN flags in their hands yelling and shouting slogans of hate and issuing threats against the crowd warning them of consequences should they continue to listen to the DAP ceramah.

Then, the same kind of incident happened again at Bukit Katil in Melaka recently where Umno members attack a Pakatan joint ceramah which resulted to some of the Opposition supporters got injured as the result of the attacks. During the attack, these Umno members used batons and sticks to scare people away from the ceramah, and when the crowd resist, these Umno members began assaulting the people.

So, what kind of politics is Umno-BN practicing right now? According to the Umno president and BN chairman, Najib Razak, BN is a coalition of political parties that preaches real democracy and that is why our nation holds general elections every five years. Yes, we know that democracy, but whatever you and your members as well as your supporters are doing are definitely not.

Then, yesterday, the Penang Umno youth chief urged some one to "apologize or there will be trouble". Is this some sort of warning? And when we ask him about this, he arrogantly says, "there will be trouble, not from Umno, but we cannot control them". That means this Umno youth chief knows there will be trouble because it has been planned but not under the entity of Umno but in his personal capacity. Is this what he means?

Same like what had happened in Teluk Intan and Bukit Katil, during the attack on Pakatan supporters, those Umno members were clearly identified as they are wearing Umno and BN t-shirts, carrying BN flags during their scuffle and assaults. So, why are those BN leaders denying the fact even when evidence has been shown that they are BN and Umno members who are creating trouble and threatening our people with weapons? Is this call democracy? BN is in fact allowing democracy to be threatened by not allowing the process of democracy from taking place.

Look, even the police were not around when the BN assault happened, even though the Opposition parties had applied and obtained the approval from the police to hold their public programmes and ceramahs. So, rightfully, the police should be there to monitor the situation and to prevent any incident from taking place, but instead they allow it to happened. When the Opposition complain, the police would in turn respond that there's no police report lodge. They want a police report to be lodged first before a crime is yet to happen? What a stupid reason was that!

Najib, Chua Soi Lek, Koh Tsu Koon, G.Palanivel, M.Kayveas or whatever it is in the BN leadership, can you all please explain what kind of democracy are there within the BN coalition? If there are real democracy in the BN reign, so where are the space for the Opposition's voice in the traditional mainstream medias (MSM), such as the television, newspapers and news highlights? During general elections, we only see BN leaders who are campaigning in the MSM channels and not even a single Opposition program. It is not yet general elections, and Umno-BN has already put up flags and election posters all around the country urging people to support them, giving out cash to the people, using government machineries to campaign for BN, utilizing government assets for Umno or BN programmes and activities, denying Opposition parliamentarians and state assemblymen of their constituency allocations and funding, using public funds to appoint coordinators (fake wakil rakyat) to assign them in Opposition-held constituencies. Are these all called democracy? Bullshit!

BN is in fact not practicing democracy at all, because they did not allow the Oppositions to stand equally with them in this country. In the Federal Constitution itself, there are no official provisions at all to allow for the recognition of an institution for the Opposition to perform and to discharge their responsibilities in a proper and professional manner, such as a provision to establish a Shadow Cabinet, Offices, Research facilities and support staffs for the Opposition bench and so on.

Asides, there are no provisions in the Federal Constitution to establish permanent parliamentary portfolio committees in the parliament to oversee the performance of government ministries and departments, to organize hearings and to scrutinize any policies or appointees on various matters. It is just a rubber-stamp parliament by having the majority to vote in any law or bill without any further debate, study or review on the same. In the end of the day, when there are any elections, BN politicians would always say Opposition has not done anything for the people. Why? It is because these Opposition representatives are not given any avenue at all for them to perform and due to this, they have to sort things out by using the funds from their own pocket or from the donations given by our people. Is this BN's democracy?

Then, when the Opposition parties are gaining influence, BN in many cases has always use some sort of troublemaking, threat and violence in order to scare our people, to promote hate and create fear amongst Malaysians, giving false information and providing wrong picture to our people to create misconceptions and many more. Again, are these all some kind of BN's democracy?

500,000 illegal immigrants has been given Malaysian citizenship and registered s voters in order to allow BN to win more seats in general elections. Then, is this called democracy? BN ought to provide a clearer explanation to our people on what kind of democracy are they trying to institutionalize in our country.
