The BN component parties' fear

Recently, the Umno leaders led by its party president Najib Razak said they are ready for a possible snap general election and made many predictions on the upcoming polls which might take place anytime this year round.

However, the MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek yesterday said otherwise, confirming that his party, doubt to be the second largest in the BN coalition, is no really ready to face the electorate in the snap general election.

Is MIC really ready for the polls? The current BN Indian based political party is facing a leadership crisis, where its leaders and members are beginning to revolt against their dictatorial party leader for staying too long and damaging the party.

Where is Gerakan, left with only two parliamentary seats could hardly survive. Recently, a new group within the party had emerged calling for the party to look into its own organization and politics seriously, which includes reviewing the possibility of withdrawing fron the BN coalition.

PPP complete wiped out in the last general election, claimed to have recruited "more members" now and they are already prepared for the next general election. Besides, they are also claiming credit in their recently "expansion" into Sarawak, where they were treated as mere outsiders by their fellow BN coalition partners over there.

PBB, SPDP, SUPP, PRS of Sarawak are going to face the upcoming state elections. The victory by Pakatan in the Sibu parliamentary by-election shows that their decades of domination of the state would come to an end. Various threats and offer of bribes were given to local tribe leaders to ensure their continuous support in the coming state elections. Besides, the BN coalitions had also resorted to organizing political curfews in villages to ensure penetration by Pakatan would be impossible.

The BN in Sabah is facing yet another political scandal, where its Umno chief minister is facing a possible charge of illegal money laundering and gambling activities. The Hong Kong ICAC is wrapping up its investigation on the chief minister's men arrested in in Hong Kong and they are expected to request the authorities here to assist. Besides, reports of vast migration of illegal immigrants into the state had also lost control. Sabahans are getting fed up of their place being taken over by these illegal immigrants.

So, is the BN really ready for a snap polls as what they had claimed earlier?
