What does MCA really mean to us?

What does MCA really mean to us actually?According to records, it is said to be the second largest component party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition front claimed to be an official voice of the Malaysian Chinese community.

So far, what had MCA done for our six million Malaysian Chinese community until today? Have they ever fight the various injustice imposed onto our Malaysian Chinese community by the more powerful and supreme Umno, the dominant party in the BN coalition?

Well, each time when MCA tries to effectively speak for our Malaysian Chinese community, Umno will certainly put a big bang onto their number two coalition partner and when it does, MCA will finally back down and move ten steps backwards. It means, surrender, give up. For what? For the sake of continue sitting in their various ministerial positions. They fear their positions will be taken away by the more supreme and powerful Umno if they were to speak up again. They are afraid of losing their powers.

So does backing down, surrendering and giving up effectively help them to fight injustice in our Malaysian Chinese community? No, things had simply gone from bad to worst. So, the question again, do they really representing our Malaysian Chinese community as claimed? Are they an effective "Chinese" political party in the BN coalition who say: "Hey, I don't give a dam on the NEP or whatever it takes, but our community must have a fair and equal stand in this country no matter what it takes".

We do not think any of the MCA leaders from day one utter such words to their Umno masters. You know why, they are too afraid of losing their positions than to really fight for the rights and the dignity of the community that they claimed to be representing.

And now MCA is associated with "various factions" within a political organization, just because they factional infighting has been ongoing for some time now. The party president sacked his deputy, appointed an acting deputy, then later kicked him out and reinstate the sacked deputy, then peace plan, two days ago the deputy resigned, and then the youth and wanita chiefs too revolted and so on.

All these factional infighting reminded us of the warring factions in China during the warlords period. These warlords has been fighting each other for almost daily to either expand their territory or to keep their hold on power. The entire republican Chinese government at that time was filled with fighting generals and marshals who had nothing in interest for the people except for themselves.

Then comes to the Kuomintang (KMT) over the years of their governance in China had also turned into another warlord field. That is why they lost half of the nation to the Japanese invading forces and later the whole country to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forces.

And MCA is going to suffer the same fate as per the KMT very soon. MCA leaders are keeping and intensifying their infighting in order to survive politically. None of them are giving away to anyone neither. They will fight until they drop.

Then what about the fate of the six million Malaysian Chinese community? Left unattended and taken advantage on by Umno and their so-called sub-contractor Perkasa.

What about Gerakan, PPP, SUPP and LDP, the other smaller Chinese based component parties in the BN coalition? Well, they cannot even voice out something for their parties, because they are too small and tiny. Voicing anything for the people is out of question. Umno will just sweep them under their seat because they are not important at all and they will be called up only to do window dressing when they are required.

We are very lucky today that we still have DAP, PKR and PAS (as Pakatan Rakyat) to shoulder on our fight against various injustice imposed onto our Malaysians regardless of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Dayak, Kadazan and so on.

So, what does MCA really mean to us? Nothing, none at all. So does the other component parties in the BN coalition. They are all just political line-ups for window dressing for Umno and Perkasa to do their dirty works from behind.
