Utusan committed treason
Utusan Malaysia in its recent article criticized the decision made by the Sultan of Selangor who confirmed that His Royal Highness will not attend the first annual general meeting of the racist organization Perkasa Selangor branch.
Utusan Malaysia had committed a treason for questioning the Sultan's decision not to attend the racist oriented event. Why isn't there any action taken against this newspaper? Utusan Malaysia had all this while been giving inaccurate information and other seditious racist remarks in its report which caused a number of racial uproars.
But when Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh publicly informed the Sultan of Perak on an inaccurate decision which regards on the Perak Umno rebel state government, Karpal was immediately branded as a traitor and cited that he had committed a treason in the name of democracy.
Utusan Malaysia had openly questioned and criticized the Sultan of Selangor on the Perkasa issue. So, why isn't this newspaper being charged in the court for treason like what Karpal is facing right now.
The Umno-led BN federal government is indeed double standard in addressing such issue. They did not want to drag Utusan Malaysia to court to be charged because the said press belongs to them.
This mean, what ever a person who has no connection with Umno will be branded as a traitor if he questions or criticize the royal household, whereas anything that as got to do with Umno will be treated with care even if any of them come up to criticize and condemn the royal families.
So, is Utusan Malaysia's action a permissible "derhaka"? What is the difference between a permissible "derhaka" and a constructive "derhaka"? All depends on whether if the person is affiliated to Umno or otherwise.
