MIC denied its failure, slammed critics
MIC vice-president Datuk M.Saravanan had recently slammed the statement made by a leader of an Indian-based chamber of commerce citing the party had failed the Malaysian Indian community.
Saravanan asked, "Who is he to condemn MIC and to claim that MIC had failed the Indian community without any facts or knowledge of the party's contribution?"
We would like to ask Saravanan, if MIC really contributes for the betterment and welfare of the Indian community at large, why did MIC failed to defend most of its seats contested in the last general elections in 2008? This means, MIC is already irrelevant in the eyes of the Indian community.
We hope Saravanan and the other MIC leaders would stop talking big about their "contributions" and start looking at themselves all over again to see if they really have any shortcomings among themselves and the party as well. There's no point for you to deny your failure as your failure has already been proven in the last general elections where even your past and present party president were defeated by the oppositions.
If MIC really contributed to the Indian community, then why the community rejected then? Do not blame the opposition for manipulating the information, because MIC being part of the government has already got all the resources and mainstream media channels to outline their contributions and to let the people know what they had done for all these years. Aren't that sufficient to back MIC up?
Furthermore, MIC claimed that they are democratic, but why refused to accept criticisms? Why are they purging dissident party members from the ranks to prevent them from rising within the party ranks? That is why MIC with all these old conservative leaders at the top there would never ever change and shall remain rotten for as long as they are still holding their respective positions.
MIC leaders are indeed failing the party and the Indian community entirely.
