Racist and extremists infiltrating into RELA

A recent report released on the website of the extremist Perkasa as well as the one in Malaysiakini today had finally confirmed that the racist group had successfully infiltrated into our country's People's Volunteer Force (RELA).

And according to the Selangor Perkasa chief, self-proclaimed "Colonel" Abdullah Mansor, his group had obtained the approval from the home affairs minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to establish the Briged Setia Negara militia within the RELA structure.

Looks like Perkasa's plan to establish its own para-military wing within RELA had proven to be very threatening and we are wondering why is the federal government, particularly the home affairs ministry is allowing this to happen.

We are very certain that if the Chinese guides and associations were to make a call to establish a Chinese Regiment within the RELA structure, the home affairs minister would not allow that to take place. But in Perkasa's case the minister allowed it, eventhough the racist group had shown its extreme racist behaviours in open, threatening other races, inciting disunity, calling for the bloodshed, repeat of May 13 incident and so on.

When the Selangor state government made a sincere call to the home affairs ministry for its application to establish the Polis Bantuan, the ministry immediately rejected them citing that the police force have enough manpower to combat crime in the state.

What? The police force have sufficient manpower to combat crime? But the crime rate is increasing almost everyday. And so does the Putera Umno sponsored mat rempits. Whenever there are any by-elections or possible the next general elections, you will alway see these elite mat rempits roaming around the streets threatening and scaring the voters.

And so, Hishammudin had decided to approve the formation of the Perkasa para-military wing inside the RELA structure, to fight Umno's political opponents, perhaps! When the next general election is coming, there is a possibility Umno may mobilize this Perkasa militia wing under the guise of RELA as a crack stormtroopers unit to help combat the opposition parties.

In RELA, its members are entitled to obtain the license to carry and use firearms in the name of national security and public order. That is why Perkasa wanted infiltrate its para-military wing into RELA in order to obtain military and firearms training to prepare themselves to create unrest and to wage their war against the people.

We would like to urge all Malaysians to be vary of this extreme racist group who is out to create more unrest to destabilize the entire nation.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Singapore Malay daily teaches Mahathir about hardwork

The former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's assumption that Malays in Singapore had failed and their neighbouring Malays should take lesson from their plight has not impressed a Singaporean daily.
