DPM's plot to kill Najib's 1Malaysia

Deputy prime minister and Umno deputy president Muhyddin Yassin said recently that Utusan Malaysia represents the Malays and boycotting the paper will muzzle the community’s voice.

Muhyddin's statement shows that he is contradicting with his prime minister and party president Najib Razak who had earlier stated that Utusan's call for 1Melayu, 1Bumi has nothing to do with the federal government and Umno at all.

So, even the prime minister cum Umno president and his deputy are both not even united in their stand on so many issues. Muhyddin's statement clearly contradicts to that of Najib's 1Malaysia concept. Does Najib really enjoy the support from the entire Umno membership?

Source close to the party had also indicated that Muhyddin might be plotting to overthrow his boss because of their contradicting policies, disagreements and leadership. But no one is clear right now if Muhyddin would get the support from the Umno members if he were to contest against Najib for the party presidency in the next party election.

And since the party election has been postponed because of the impending 13th general election, the Umno deputy president would have to sit down and wait for the results of the poll before he could firmly decide whether to go against his party president or otherwise.

It is also an open secret that Muhyddin has been touring nationwide to visit as many Umno divisional leaders as possible in order to collect their views and survey the level of support for him.

He understands, hatching a plot to unseat his boss right now would be too soon and would bring about his own downfall too. Therefore, he is now banking heavily on party members who are pro-Perkasa as well as sympathizers of the party-owned mouthpiece Utusan.

And if Muhyddin manage to take control of the entire Utusan editorial, it would be a great advantage for him to kick start his efforts to damage the reputation of Najib very slowly, one after another until the next general election and the party polls too.

Therefore, if all these sources and reports are accurate, then Umno would be heading for yet another leadership crisis in near future if not for now.

If Najib insist with his 1Malaysia, his party members would not support his stand entirely and he knows that he also needs to encounter the increasing racism in his party of which may give rise to Muhyddin to openly stage a coup against him on one very day, as the jargon of "Malays are being threatened now" has been widely circulated nationwide of which Najib had deliberately failed to overcome.

Then what should our people do to address the current situation? For those fence sitters, we would advise them to put their uncertainties aside and make a mass walkover as it would be a total waste of time seeing and wondering that party would or would not change and improve for a better Malaysia.
