MACC cancels London trip to meet Bala

Image
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will not record the statement of private investigaor P.Balasubramaniam in London after all. Instead, the MACC will ask the private eye in exile to answer written questions in the form of an affidavit. Since from the beginning of their intention to meet Bala in London was made known to the public, they actually had already lost the game. In fact, the MACC has been making a fool of themselves in this case. Didn't the MACC has their legal experts to advise them on what are the legal implications against them if they were to continue their ill-efforts to interview Bala in London without first notifying the British authorities there. As a law enforcement body themselves, they should know all these legal aspects before they proceed with their next move. So, we want to ask those MACC officials, do they know the law governing our nation and the laws governing the other countries as well? If you knew all these, you should not have made tha...

Rombakan kepimpinan PKR negeri Selangor

Image
Langkah pucuk pimpinan PKR pusat unt...

Another RM700 million to be thrown again

Image
After all the screw ups in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) by its development contractor, Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB), the Port Klang Authority (PKA) board of directors is expected to meet very soon to decide whether to pay the remaining RM700 million to KDSB. Right now, none of the members of the PKA board are committed on the payment plan and refuse to provide any indication if they would pay KDSB or otherwise. To pay or not to pay and this is a very big question mark that everyone of us are waiting to see if our nation's money will be away again just like that. And if PKA decides to pay KDSB the RM700 million, it is our people who will lose out, as those money is our hard earned cash earned from our daily work, added up and paid as income tax, etc to the government in order to serve us back in the name of public interest. That is why we call it public funds, not government funds or whatsoever BN-Umno's money. Not only the PKFZ scandal, there are more of other unresolved sca...

MACC performing a one-sided task

When some morons from the Umno lodged a report against Selangor Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim on his car maintenance and his Hari Raya Qurban's contribution at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC), the later was quick to send their team of "special task force" to interrogate Khalid. And now, a report has been lodged against the Sarawak chief minister Taib Mahmud on his reported RM3 billion of vast business and property empire overseas. But the MACC was reluctant to initiate an investigation against him. To add more salt to the problem, the three Sarawakians who lodged their reports at the MACC had decided to withdraw them because of some provisions in the law which prevented them from pursuing the matter further. The question here is, why the Selangor menteri besar can be interrogated while the Sarawak chief minister can be let off just like that? Just because the Selangor one is from Pakatan Rakyat and the Sarawak is Barisan Nasional (BN). Whatever wrongs commit...

MACC should investigate FELDA's irregularities

Recently, the former deputy Minister of Land and Cooperatives Tan Kee Kwong has exposed Umno president Najib Razak of systematically "destroying" Felda or the Federal Land Development Authority. Tan said Felda's cash reserves declined by RM 200 million from RM 4.5 billion in 2004 and blames the premier's mismanagement for the loss. He further pointed out that Felda has paid 40 percent or RM 230 million to the developers for a grand "five-star office" in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, raising questions about the unusually high deposit and the possibility of the project being abandoned half-way. The five-star office is to be built at a cost of RM 600 million by construction company NAZA TTDI. We all know these numbers are huge and after the Sime Darby financial scandal, makes it a lot harder to digest. Furthermore, Mohd Bakke Salleh was Felda Group Holdings CEO, who now has been made the new CEO for the Sime Darby Group. Mohd Bakke is clearly one of Najib's c...

Hopeless under Dr Koh

Image
A former Penang Gerakan leader today lambasted state Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, saying that it will be impossible for the ruling coalition to win back the state if early state elections are called. Former Penang Gerakan vice chairman Tan Sri Tan Kok Ping told the press yesterday that it will be "impossible" for BN to regain control of the state, presently run by the opposition, if it continues to rely on the leadership of Dr Koh. "He (Dr Koh) was the chief minister of Penang for 18 years but while in power, what has he done? He has not delivered his promises to the people in Penang at all and is an indecisive leader," said Tan. He said Gerakan has lost its relevance in the state it once controlled for over 39 years after the whirlwind 2008 general election which saw the party totally losing all the state and parliamentary seats in Penang. Tan, who is the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce president, said the only way for the ruling coali...

Johor royal council requested for the third title

Image
Former health minister and PKR central committee member Datuk Chua Jui Meng was asked to return another Johor title after being stripped of two datukships, the DPMJ and SPMJ recently. This time Chua was requested to return the Pingat Ibrahim Sultan (PIS) medal and according to him, he will return all his awards and medals to the royal household very soon. We urge Chua to do the most honourable thing by retuning them as soon as possible without looking back. What are all those for? These "awards" and "medals" are merely pieces of metals and nylon cloths. It is just that it was being differentiate in the way those items were being made and coloured with. First of all you do not need all these piece of metals and cloth over your shoulders and body if you want to serve. You serve the people with your heart and with sincerity. And if you really perform, then track record itself will speak, not any medals or datukships. Just look at some of our respected opposition figur...

BN's unresolved scandals and outstanding issuesd

Image
Despite so many pledge by the Najib's administration to implement this and implement that, to resolve this issues and to investigate this scandals or that scandals, we could see till today nothing concrete has been done to fully resolve all those scandals and outstanding issues that our people had demanded. That means Najib's Umno-led BN federal government is insincere towards their self-professed reform for the betterment of our nation and to our general public. They just don't care and prefer to sweep everything under the carpet. Here are the list of some many of the unresolved scandals and cases, 1) Maika Holdings Bhd scandal; 2) Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED) scandal; 3) AIMST University mismanagement of funds; 4) Port Klang Free Zone (KFZ) scandal; 5) The missing F5E jet engine case; 6) The recently acquired secondhand navy submarine that cannot dive properly; 7) FELDA fund mismanagement; 8) Sime Darby Bhd's massive losses and mi...

Walk the talk, TI-M tells federal govt

The federal government's promises of open tenders sound hollow when it continues to award contracts that lack transparency and accountability, says Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M). "Cost overruns and defective performance persists with apparently no one, either the contractors or those awarding and monitoring it, being taken to task," said TI-M president Paul Low today. "Lack of transparency and governance allows corruption and is a waste of public funds," said the head of the anti-corruption watchdog. The sports betting licence, the new palace and ancillary works and mega land development projects such as the Matrade Expo, Sungei Besi air base and Sungai Buloh hub are examples where contracts were not issued by open tender, he said. While the government declares it will implement TI's Integrity Pact, TI-M also urged the government to walk the talk on transparency, governance and integrity and at the minimum, implement open tenders for mega proje...

A reckless federal official on the road

Image
An unidentified federal official from the Perbadanan Kemajuan Wilayah Pulau Pinang (Perda) was seen driving recklessly on the road at Jalan Kampung Gajah, Butterworth in the evening today heading towards Kepala Batas. The reckless official who drives a four-wheel drive (FWD) belonging to Perda was speeding like nobody's business and beat two traffic lights while heading towards north. The official vehicle also nearly knock on a motorist while trying to negotiate an overtake another vehicle. We supposed this official has been late for a function which he was supposed to attend and that is why is rushing like a speeding bullet train on the road. A very dangerous and reckless driver. We want to ask Perda chairman and state Umno secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim, is this the way your officials treat the general public? Why are federal officials so arrogant even on the road? Your guys are abusing your powers by endangering the other road users too.

Stolen jet engines, was the air force sergeant made a scapegoat?

Image
We are wondering how can a non-commissioned officer (NCO) with only a rank of sergeant in the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) could be so "powerful" until he could authorise the shipment of the stolen jet engines out of this country to a south American state. Yesterday, Mr N.Nagarajah, aged 71 who is the father of the currently detained air force sergeant N.Tharmendran had formally lodged a police report at Brickfields police stations mentioning that his son Sgt Tharmendran has been tortured by the air force intelligence personnel led by an officer named Major Ismail into confessing the theft of the jet engines. So, the question here, is Sgt Tharmendran being made a scapegoat in order the cover up the real culprits sitting in the air force high command? Prior to this, there are several reports that indicated that an air force brigadier-general, with a few colonels and majors are being called in by the top brass for internal investigation. And these group of senior air force ...

An Umno-BN's heavenly kingdom

Image
At first, the minister in the PM's department Idris Jala warned the entire nation that the federal government would go bankrupt if the current various subsidies were not withdrawn. Then, another minister in the PM's department Nazri Aziz said that the federal government could not afford to provide scholarships to our students anymore. Today, Nazri says that ending the scholarships will help to stop brain drain. The Umno-led BN federal government continuously remind the general public to cut down on their daily expenses, save their hard earned money and spent wisely. Unfortunately, it is a grave disappointment to see that the federal government does not walk the talk at all. Their lavish spending on several mega and luxurious projects which are seen as not benefiting the people entirely. Currently, they are undertaking the construction of a new and third grand national palace situated at Jalan Duta to accommodate the Yang Dipertuan Agong. The first palace called Istana Negara is...

Angry Jelutong Umno branches spit at Azhar

A large group of Umno local and banch leaders in Jelutong are extremely angry with their state party secretary Azhar Ibrahim for speaking to the press about the purported demise of their branches. According to some of the branch leaders from Persiaran Perak, Taman Perak and Jalan Jelutong respectively, Azhar was not supposed to make the decision to dissolve the 13 branches as he is not empower to do so. One Umno branch chairman also said that Azhar had his own political agendas and intentions in moving so fast to dissolve all those branches because of the upcoming party elections. Information from confirmed sources within Umno also said that Azhar had carried out the dissolution of the said branches in Jelutong as well as some branches in other divisions in order to consolidate his grip on the state party machinery. Azhar is also said to be lobbying for the post of state liaison chief from the party president Najib Razak. The current state liaison chief is party vice president Ahmad Za...

Relocating the parliament at expenses of our people?

Image
Recently, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz said that the cabinet has decided to relocate the Parliament to Putrajaya, while the current one will be restored and turned into a museum house. Datuk Nazri's announcement came as a shock to many of the members of parliament as well as the general public. Once again our people will have to subsidize the construction of the new parliament building in Putrajaya. Guess what? The cost of construction and relocation would cost the federal government about RM800 million. We repeat, another RM800 million is going to be spend away just like that. Remember, when the other Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Idris Jala said that the federal government will be in the verge of bankruptcy if all those consumer goods' subsidies were not withdrawn by then. Which means, they had a very ambitious plan before hand to withdraw the consumer goods' subsidies from the people in order to top ...

What Datukship?

Image
What Datukship? Well, it is just a piece of metal and a piece of nylon cloth to be hang on the person's body when he or she receives such award. What so great of this title nowadays? Even a triad boss, loan-shark taiko, illegal sports betting kingpin, pimp master, smuggling tycoon, AP rent-seeker, corrupted government official, or a 20-year-old girl who happens to play squash very well or a very young badminton player could get a Datukship. If you really serve the people and community, your track record speaks for itself and you really do not need all these titles to say that ooh, you did this or you did that. People who saw and observed will tell what you have done for them. Datukship is now already being on sale in the Southern Philippines and some parts of the grand old sultanate in Indonesia, if you had already tried hard and could not get one in Malaysia. So, is it an honour to receive a Datukship nowadays? When the Perak state government was toppled in the early of February l...

Karpal acquitted from sedition charges

Image
The federal prosecution failed to prove a prima facie case against DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh, who allegedly uttered seditious remarks against the Perak sultan during the Umno-sponsored coup d'etat to toppled the state government early of last year. Actually, there is no case at all against Karpal. The federal prosecution is merely acting on instruction of the Umno-led BN federal government to bring a case against Karpal because he questioned the way the Perak state government was toppled and how can an Umno-led rebel state government being installed and recognized. In fact when Karpal was questioning this particular Perak constitutional crisis and Umno's high handed dictatorship in the state, he knew he was doing it in accordance not only with the law but the federal and state constitutions as well. Come on, Karpal is a well-versed legal practitioner who has been in this field for decades. The federal prosecutors are in fact making the fool of themselves for making an ...

The revengeful Umno and Perkasa

Recently, an innocent looked and honest local councillor from the Selayang Municipal Council, Selangor had been beaten up until he has to seek medical treatment for it. Why? All because of a dispute of a land allocation awarded to a Chinese-based welfare society for the purpose of putting up their activity centre there. The allocation of the land on the same spot was also actually applied by some Umno and Perkasa leaders who is operating under a business entity in order to obtain the same land to construct a local Umno/Perkasa office and activity centre there. The actual condition was the Chinese-based welfare society has been operating on that allocated land for years and they are merely applying for renewal to the possession of the said land to continue carrying out their welfare activities and to serve the community there. So, why are these local Umno/Perkasa leaders and members there so revengeful and took this rejection of their application as a racial conflict, by claiming that t...

Legislative committee mum over charges against state Umno leader

Image
The Penang state legislative assembly's rights and privileges committee is tight-lipped on its first meeting to discuss charges against state Umno secretary Azhar Ibrahim who uttered seditious remarks during last month's assembly sitting. We hope the rights and privileges committee will act without fear and favour in the interest of the state legislative assembly and to protect its reputation. As Azhar had uttered such an irresponsible statement by warning the state government and the people of Penang that May 13 incident will repeat, he should be punished in accordance to the statutory provisions of the state legislative assembly. By the way, since there are so many police report lodged against Azhar, we are wondering why the police has yet to take any action. This is a national security issue. An irresponsible politician had issued a threat to repeat the May 13 incident. The police would not dare to act against Azhar because he is an Umno man. Remember, the Umno vice pres...

Blame game between MCA and MIC

Image
Now it is blame game between MCA and MIC over the Anti-Samy Vellu (GAS) movement. The MIC president Samy Vellu is blaming MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek for using The Star newspaper to attack him in order to cover up the current dissent in the MCA leadership. It is believed that some MCA leaders had made known their displeasure over the appointment of Dr Chua's son Tee Yong as a deputy minister in the recent cabinet reshuffle. And in order to avoid the MCA's internal squabbles, Dr Chua instead pushes The Star to swift their attention to the GAS opposition on Samy's presidency in the MIC. And today, Samy Vellu's Tamil Nesan fires the canon back to MCA, Dr Chua and The Star. The tug-of-war between the MCA leaders and their counterparts in the MIC is expected to prolong for these few weeks. What is Dr Chua and MCA's next course of action then? Well, let us not say this is a Chinese and Indian fight. It did not happen at all. It is all just a civil war in the Barisan Na...

Pretenders in fighting for the race

Image
You already see all those great pretenders and hypocrites at work in our current political scene. First they organize demonstrations here and there, shouting and chanting slogans of hates against a state government for sidelining the community they claimed to represent and fought for. Then they held another rally in a city claiming that the other races had taken away their economic well-being and rights for so many years. They claimed injustice because their equity was stolen from them, they said that certain state governments' policies are not supporting the community that they are currently fighting for. The fact that this extremist group who called themselves "Great" in our national language is strident in the way that they had been overly confused or should we call them stupid? Yes, they are really fools and they are making it worst by making a fool of themselves in public. Then these fools who wanted to fool others, gather the other fools to form a loose consultative...

Solicitor-General awarded Datukship for prosecuting Anwar

Sodomy II lead prosecutor Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden was among those who received Federal awards in conjunction with the Kingā€™s birthday today. He was among the 1,626 honoured by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at the Istana Negara today. The Solicitor-General II received the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) award, which carries the title ā€œDatukā€. Mohd Yusof is involved in the second sodomy trial of Parliamentary Opposition Leader and PKR Advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who has been accused of committing the act against former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan. And when Datuk Mohd Yusof complete his prosecution against Datuk Seri Anwar and successfully convict him to another imprisonment, he will then be awarded the title Panglima Setia Negara (PMN) which carries the title "Tan Sri". Upon retirement "Tan Sri" Datuk Mohd Yusof will receive the title Seri Maharaja Mangku Negara (SMN) which carries the title "Tun". Congratulations, your car...

Idris Jala's bankruptcy claim got shot from both sides

Image
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala's recent statement that our nation's treasury will go bankrupt if the federal government continues its provision of subsidies to fuel, food and some selected infrastructures. According to Idris, Malaysia will also turn into another Greece if his government's spending on subsidies continues without reduction. Well, we are saying that he is wrong in the sense that he is putting all the blame on the treasury's deficit on the subsidies. Doesn't he realize that our country's entire administration especially at the federal level and those states which are rule by Umno are totally infested with their corrupt and mismanagement of funding which were supposed to be channeled down to the people but went straight into the pockets of these elite politicians instead. Didn't he realize that acquiring a submarine which could not guarantee its lifespan and the defense of our nation's waters (as it fail...

BN's senate government

Prime minister and Umno president Najib Razak announced a reshuffle in his cabinet today which saw the increasing members of the senate being appointed to various ministerial and deputy ministerial positions. It shows that Najib is very short of qualified elected members of parliament to be appointed to the cabinet of which he has to resort to source his cabinet potentials from the senate instead. That means all those current sitting BN MPs are all under qualify, even the Umno youth chief is not even considered for any positions in the government. With the increased number of senators in Najib's administration, it had deliberately turn his team into a senate government. Currently, senators are appointed and not elected via general elections. And if a government is full of senatorial ministers and deputy ministers, we should call it a dictatorship or an unelected government. Those appointed were not chosen by the people as representatives.

Kedah MCA chief a big liar!

Kedah state MCA liaison chief Chong Itt Chew earlier made a statement claiming that a major factory in the Kulim High-Technology Park had moved its operations overseas. State Executive Councillor Amiruddin Hamzah said Chong's claim that Fuji Electric (M) Sdn Bhd had shifted its operations to the Philippines is a blatant lie and its aim was to discredit the state government. Besides, Chong's irresponsible statement had also create uncertainties amongst the said company employees and in fact he should apologize to the company's management for his unbecoming behavior. Amiruddin, also said the factory too was upset with Chongā€™s statement. ā€œThe company has made it known that if such false information continues to be disseminated, it will not hesitate to act against those involved", he said. Amiruddin added that in the first two months of 2010, two new investors have moved to the industrial park. ā€œTheir investments are worth RM1.529 billion and will create 1,382 addit...

Kenmark plant closed, its workers locked-out

Image
More than 400 workers of furniture maker Kenmark Industries, a public listed company here were stranded when the Taiwanese owner went missing, all the executives had resigned and the factory was sealed. Their salaries for the last month had been paid but they were not given any indication that they they would find them jobless this month. The workers were shocked to find the factory gates locked when they reported for duty yesterday, according to the Malaysian Trades Union (MTUC) vice-president A.Balasubramaniam who was at the scene to assist the workers. He told the press that MTUC would assist the workers file for retrenchment benefits. Two hundred of the workers were locals while the other 206, foreigners, mainly Bangladeshis and Myanmars. All the foreign workers are now housed in a hostel opposite the factory. Balasubramaniam wants the Labour Department to assist the foreign workers in obtaining their full benefits before they leave for home. The companyā€™s former human resources ma...
