MACC cancels London trip to meet Bala
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will not record the statement of private investigaor P.Balasubramaniam in London after all.
Instead, the MACC will ask the private eye in exile to answer written questions in the form of an affidavit. Since from the beginning of their intention to meet Bala in London was made known to the public, they actually had already lost the game. In fact, the MACC has been making a fool of themselves in this case.
Didn't the MACC has their legal experts to advise them on what are the legal implications against them if they were to continue their ill-efforts to interview Bala in London without first notifying the British authorities there. As a law enforcement body themselves, they should know all these legal aspects before they proceed with their next move.
So, we want to ask those MACC officials, do they know the law governing our nation and the laws governing the other countries as well? If you knew all these, you should not have made that public statement (of intending to go to London to question Bala) just like that.
Just imagine if your officers were to proceed to London to question Bala as scheduled, you will end up being detained by the British authorities instead, because you intend to enforce the Malaysian law in Britain.
And if your officers are to be detained for all these, then MACC will be the greatest fool on earth. The whole world will know how foolish MACC was in carrying out such illegal law enforcement in other country.
By only realizing your mistakes and calling off your London trip today cannot save your faces anymore, because you had done enough damage onto your own image. And it also shows that by admitting your mistakes and canceling your London trip today, you have been a fool all these while.
Our sympathy question here is, do you all really know what you are doing? Are you all really fit to perform your duties to eradicate corruption in this country. Will our people ever respect you as a dedicated law enforcer, like the ICAC in Hong Kong?
Just disband and go home!
