Where are the Royal and Independent Commissions?
The Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal has been rolling from one place to another. Each person involved passing the buck from one corner to the other corner. It seems that no one is telling exactly what had really happened and transpired in the PKFZ scandal.
Too many investigative panels and committees being established to oversee and probe the scandal based on the auditor's report and so on. But todate, nothing concrete nor effective has been achieved so far. The transport minister, Ong Tee Keat is too busy with the infighting in his party in his capacity as MCA president.
The PKFZ scandal is heading nowhere. MACC said they are investigating but what have they done so far? Calling this person up and the other for questioning and offering drinks to them to begin their chats. The losses accumulated are even worst than the BMF scandal.
Apart from that, the case of the late Teoh Beng Hock who was found murdered in the Selangor MACC headquarters in Shah Alam remained a mistery to all of us. Some DNAs were missing, investigative documentations were incomplete, ineffective and slow inquest onto the case, ineffective post-mortem carried out by those local forensic "experts".
As the result, it leaves the Teoh family no choice but to seek the assistance of a foreign forensic specialist to come into action in order to determine their child's death cause. Justice has been tainted.
So, why is the federal government so afraid of forming the Royal Commissions of Inquiry to investigate these two scandals? Are they afraid that their involvement might be spilled out if these two Royal Commissions of Inquiry activated?
The other one is, the police force is getting more and more BN-Umno focused after 8 March 2008 last year with continuous targeting on Pakatan state government leaders and innocent people.
The Perak coup d'etat on last February where Umno toppled the elected state government is one clear example. The security forces clearly supported the rebel state government established by Umno and its lackeys and they also assisted in booting out the legally elected state assembly speaker from his office.
The security force is getting more political motivated by Umno. Therefore, the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) is urgently needed to address the current position of the police and its politically influenced top brass and management.
And the federal government kept its delay on the implementation of the IPCMC with one after another excuses and by proposing and pushing for alternative ineffective commissions to replace the much wanted IPCMC.
Can the federal government please be sincere to the people and the nation?
