The 2010 budget, nothing that really interest
From what I had viewed, the budget does not carry any tough effort in stamping out corruptions and power abuses, check and balance in the current power structure monopolised by the BN, Umno and the rest of their coalition parties which will anyway lead to continuous rampant mismanagement.
So, in the end the day, will everyone of us be as individual, businessmen, corporate or in a large group of interest be able to enjoy the benefites of the budget at 100 percent? As long as the activities of corruptions, power abuses and mismanagements continue its misadventures, we would not be able to enjoy 100 percent of the benefits from the budget.
The more the BN federal government spend, the more it goes to their cronies. The auditor-general's report served as a clear evidence to that. The wrongdoers has been mushrooming continuously, even if the auditor-general had repeatedly reported various abuses in government departments, agencies and government-linked companies (GLC) as well.
Apart from that, nothing were mentioned on measures to improve and upgrade the livelihoods of our working community following the continuous rise of living cost and cost of goods as well. Slashing taxes here and there will not do any help to ease our burdens when the rising cost of living and prices of goods continue to double up almost every month.
What about relief for childcare and higher education? Today, it is very tough for parents to support their children's higher education. Has the BN federal government forgotten about this?
Furthermore, continuing subsidising GLCs to cover their losses will not do any good for the entire nation at all. Why keep those non-performers and under-performers for the sake of giving them jobs or to upkeep them or maybe because they are all members of the ruling party (BN-Umno)? Aren't all these waste of public funds?
Finally, MACC and the Police where had you been when you are needed? You are only busy staging assaults on Pakatan-led state governments rather than acting neutrally and putting things right in the country. Actually, both of you should be under the jurisdictions of the parliamentary select committees to ensure your neutral status when discharging your responsibilities but here, you are not.
Both of you are under the direct orders of the respective ministry which tend to use your powers to extend their political interest. Just look at what you had done to Perak and Selangor for the BN-Umno leaders. Well, you snatch Perak and then murdered a bright young man in Selangor after brought him in as a witness.
This budget is merely a cover-up.
