KLIA2 cost up, another wastage of public funds

Well, today we were gravely surprised of yet another cost up project, currently being undertaken by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to construct a Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).
The cost of constructing the KLIA2 was initially amounted to about RM2.0 billion but by now, it has inflated to about more than RM3.9 billion. This means the cost of the project had doubled extensively.
Guess what, when asked about the inflated project cost, the MAHB officials are quick to push the blame on AirAsia for the six months delay over the baggage handling system (BHS) modification of which the changes were requested by the later.
AirAsia later denied that it was asking for a more powerful BHS, but merely asked MAHB to ensure KLIA2 could be flexibly expanded when required in future. So, what will the MAHB officials say tomorrow? Some sort of miscommunication happened or whatsoever reasons they may give to wash their hands on?
The KLIA2, when completed would be the world's largest low-cost carrier terminal. The expect completion is targeted on April 2013. Then, with all those inflated costs and might be possibilities of poor material qualities, will the terminal risk a collapse or crack in its building structure?
By the way, can the transport minister and MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha explain the above mess to our people?
