Penang Exco members made public of their assets
Members of the Penang State Executive Council (Exco) together with Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had declared and made public of their assets. This is the first time that a state government' exco members has officially declare their assets to the public.
The exco's asset declaration fulfills personal obligation and political will of the state government. It has also been confirmed that an independent and renowned accounting firm KPMG has conducted an audit onto the assets of these exco members.
KPMG partner Ooi Kok Seong had confirmed that the firm's auditor had carried out their job independently, objectively and free from any conflict of interest. Our congratulations to Guan Eng and his team for their commitment towards the goal to ensure a clean governance.
Now, will the other BN governed states' exco members as well as the federal government ministers and deputy ministers under Umno president Najib Razak ever dare to do the same by declaring all their assets to the public?
Did you all know that the one diamond ring bought by Najib's wife values so much higher than the total assets owned by Guan Eng and his entire exco line-up. Not even that, a BN cabinet minister or an Umno state exco member may also have a total asset of more than the whole Penang state exco members. No wonder till today none of them has ever dare to make public of their assets.
Just look at the example of BN minister and Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abd Jalil's total assets both locally and what has reported in Singapore? It shows that all these assets were obtained via blatant abuse of power, corruption, mismanagement and swindling of public funds for their own interests.
And now these Umno leaders are using racism to cover-up all their corrupt businesses.
