Defence minister offers soldiers help for police to handle gatherings

Defense minister and Umno vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has offered the services of the armed forces to assist the police handle the gatherings of supporters of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor and Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim here on Monday.

It seems that the Umno-led BN federal government is flexing its muscle onto our people via the use of its military force. They may not be using it right now, but demonstrating such a threat would not do any good for the armed force as well.

Using the military force to curb any events organized by the opposition parties to remain in power will demonstrate the government's arrogance and total ignorance on human rights and no respect on the democratic institution of this country.

Is this what Umno had learned from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) through its bilateral relations established with the later? Go ahead, send the tanks in then!
