Be careful with our money, EPF told

Image
The management board of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has recently approved the transfer of about RM1.5 billion from EPF to finance the special funding scheme for the sales of houses in public housing programmes in Kuala Lumpur. According to Umno supreme council member who is also the federal territories and urban well-being minister Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, the funds taken out from EPF will be given to the Federal Territories Foundation to help some 20,000 eligible tenants and interested buyers living in the People Housing Programme (PPR) and the KL City Hall public housing units. This is not the first time EPF has allowed these hard earned savings which belongs to our people to be channeled into different organizations and companies. And such transfers were worrying us right now since we all only got to know this via the newspaper reports today. Last year, we were informed that EPF had waived billions of Ringgit loaned to various GLCs and government agencies after an u...

Najib threatens to unleash militia against the people

Image
The Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak recently issued an open stern warning to would-be demonstrators, dissidents and opposition parties saying that the paramilitary People's Volunteer Corps (Rela)was ready to defend the country from turmoil. It seems that Najib and Umno is now relying on the Rela to defend not the country but the party, BN and its federal government so that they could continue holding Putrajaya even if the party is defeated in the next general elections. So Najib, are your plans include equip Rela with the most sophisticated weapons like M16 rifles, AK47 automatic rifles, hand grenades , C4 explosives, tanks and whatsoever which could do to kill of the opposition force and democracy in this country? We challenge you to name the best equipment that you are planning to provide this militia force to "defend" the country at all costs. According to Najib, "Do not cause havoc in this country because the 2.8 million Rela members will not stand idly by ...

Do you want a Malay prime minister or a Chinese prime minister?

Image
Did you all know why is this question being asked? Very awkward indeed, but this question has been moving around in our nation's political scene for too long. Everyone of us are already fed up with such questions and comments on whether we want a Malay prime minister or a Chinese prime minister. We just want a Malaysian prime minister. That's it! Well, this is what MCA and Umno has been harping on. As we all know both MCA and Umno are currently in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition which governs the federal administration. MCA claims to represent the Chinese community at large while Umno says Malays would not survive if Umno were to be defeated in the next election. So does MIC, the alleged representative for the Indian community. It seems that even though the BN claim to stand as 1Malaysia in concept but politics within the coalition of these component parties are still individualistically racialism. During their political events, each of every of these BN component parties s...

Exposed! BN youth member a "deputy policeman" targeting the Bersih 2.0

Image
Just look at these two pictures and the similarity shown. It shows that a member of the BN youth (most likely from Umno youth) who was on the stage in an unnamed function to receive his "reward" recently while the other picture shows that he is a "deputy policeman" tasked of "taking down" as many Bersih 2.0 participants (July 2011 last year) as possible. Is this what the home ministry and the police force were doing. They are "shortage" of manpower and therefore, got these BN youth members to dress up as policemen in order to go after the Bersih 2.0 participants. If the police force claim that these are genuine police volunteer reserves or "polis bantuan", then how come the name tag was not worn? Why is he carrying a weapon which is not authorized by the police to do so? Apart from that, this "deputy policeman" also used a cloth to cover-up his face to prevent photos from being taken by journalists. Is such practice also allow...

People don't know, Malay leftist not really independence fighters

Image
Finally, Professor Dr Khoo Kay Kim said that the Malay leftist associated with the earlier PUTERA-AMCJA coalition of political parties were not really independence fighters, because our "people don't know". This is the reason that Prof Khoo had given, "people don't know". Yeah he really knows all. Is that what he mean? He knows all, he is one of them who only only obey what the Umno leaders dictate up there who determine which one should be in the history and which one should not. So, we want to ask this retired government historian. If all those Malay leftist from earlier coalition of PUTERA-AMCJA were not really fighters of our country's independence prior to Umno's existence, then what are they? Can you let us know, how do you address these honourable people's struggle? In your statement, you mentioned so much about what is not historical facts in our country but you failed to address the actual history of our country. So, we don't really ...

Prof Khoo, what about checking on our nation's actual independence history?

Image
Few days ago, our most renowned historian Professor Dr Khoo Kay Kim had deliberately declared that Hang Tuah and his band of brothers as well as Princess Hang Li Poh who is married to the Sultan of Malacca did not exist at all. He confirmed that the history has been tainted, saying that the history books will be reviewed and rewritten to put up the facts and truths. However, Prof Khoo did not elaborate further on the thorough review of the entire Malaysian historical facts which also cover the role of our country's freedom fighters for independence since 1945. Apart from mentioning that history must do away with the Hang Tuah and Princess Hang Li Poh epic as they did not exist at all, Prof Khoo also ought to clarify who are the real freedom fighters of our Malayan independence struggle. Prof Khoo also need to explain that why the PUTERA-AMCJA's role in their quest for an independent Malaya was not appreciated, worst still being accused as terrorist and deleted from the historic...

Colombian President signs anti-discrimination law

Image
A landmark anti-discrimination law, described by one supporter as ā€œa homage to equality,ā€ was signed into law last month by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos. For the first time, it levies prison sentences for acts of discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation or nationality. The law is ā€œa form of justice,ā€ said President Santos. ā€œIt was time to get tough on this and to ensure the protection of the rights of those discriminated against.ā€ The legislation was in large part the result of tireless efforts by two local NDI partners. A key figure behind the billā€™s drafting and passage was Luis Ernesto Olave, national coordinator of Afro-Colombian issues for the Independent Movement of Absolute Renovation (MIRA), the political party that introduced the bill. Olave participated in NDIā€™s leadership program for emerging political leaders last year. The law will ā€œsettle an historic debt with the Afro-Colombian population, which continues to face racism,ā€ sai...

'Dangerous' to publicly disclose ministers' assets

Image
According to Umno supreme council member and minister in the prime minister's department Datuk Nazri Aziz, revealing the asset declarations of ministers and their immediate family members to the general public should not be done, "as this may endanger them". We would like to seek further clarification from Nazri about "endangering" these ministers and their families. Are they afraid that all robbers, snatch thieves, gangsters or any other kind of criminals will be lining up in front of their residence to rob their money or kidnapping them for ransom? If this is the case, then Nazri would then had admitted that this country is unsafe for even the ministers and their families. And by saying that would also mean that Nazri had indirectly "slapped" the face of Umno vice-president and home affairs minister Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein because the police force under him is inefficient in their duties and responsibilities. Or, is it the "danger" to th...

Non-existence of Hang Tuah and gang. Are the other history fake too?

Image
Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekir, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekiu and the wife of the Malacca Sultan, Hang Li Poh does not exist at all. This has been confirmed by a retired historian recently after his research and studies in to compare the Chinese history with Malaysia's. Our country's history has been distorted. What a shame to tell other people that our history are in fact non-existence. And now the government is planning to rewrite our country's history. The other issue, is our entire history non-existence too? What about the historical records of our country's sultanate and the history of these rulers? How about the history of our country's independence and its earlier independent fighters? It shows that we cannot believe nor trust the history of our nation anymore. The Umno's role in our country's independence is now already being questioned, as interviews with some freedom fighters prior to the Umno era shows that they are the ones who had initiated the qu...

Dayak and Kadazan leaders in Barisan are mere political slaves

Image
The Dayaks in Sarawak and Kadazans in Sabah have only themselves to be blamed for the pathetic situation there are in now. What the Dayak and Kadazan leaders in the Barisan (BN) coalition have been doing all these years? Nothing but only busy enriching themselves and becoming some sort of political slave for the more supreme and powerful Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB) in Sarawak and Umno in Sabah. These BN Dayak and Kadazan leaders had allow themselves to be make use of by PBB and Umno leaders who are only interested in playing politics of divide and rule so that both of these dominant parties could stay in power on top there forever. The Dayaks in Sarawak and Kadazans of Sabah were once proud and strong people in their respective states. A Dayak and a Kadazan were once Chief Ministers and Head of State of Sarawak and Sabah respectively. They were the pride of their own state, organization, tradition as well as their culture. But unfortunately, now the Dayaks and Kadazans are the poore...

Majoriti mudah cukup. Pembangkang masih diperlukan

Pandangan Datu...

DAP overwhelm by its membership increase

Image
The DAP ever since March 2008, has been very much overwhelmed by its increasing party membership following its victory and its success in taking over the Penang state government, becoming a major partner in the Perak and Selangor state governments, as well as its increased opposition presence in states like Melaka, Negri Sembilan, Johor and Sarawak. Prior to the 2008 general elections, DAP total membership was not even at 10,000 given to its opposition role and the Barisan (BN) government's continuous suppression of dissidents' voice, freedom of speech was controlled and curbed, follow by threat of detention and blacklisting from any government allocations, funding, loans, facilities and many more. Prior to the 2008 political tsunami, no one have even thought of applying to join the DAP and to participate in its branch and parliamentary events. Even then, most people are basically afraid of even participating in its functions, meetings or simply mention about it. However, DAP h...

Nazri blocked the use of indelible ink in previous GE, then Umno is in control of EC

Minister in the prime ministerā€™s department and Umno supreme council member Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz has admitted that he blocked the use of the indelible ink prior to the 2008 general election. ā€œOn indelible ink, I must admit that the person who questioned it was me. At that time, there were constitutional concerns", Nazri confirmed. Earlier, former Election Commission (EC) chairperson Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman that he was prevented from implementing indelible ink in the 2008 election. The move saw the plan to use the indelible ink on voters scrapped at the last minute before the 2008 general election and Rashid bore the brunt of criticism from the turn-about. Then this is a very clear evidence that Umno is in control of the EC all the time. The EC, its board of commissioners and the entire establishment was never an independent and neutral commission charge with supervising the elections. From the earlier statement made by Abdul Rashid against his former boss, he certainly admit...

Anwar's acquittal, justice yet to be proven

Upon acquittal of Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the recently concluded second sodomy trial, Umno and Barisan leaders are quick to praise the judiciary system for its fair and proper trial. And then the solicitor-general Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden called on the prosecution team to file an appeal to the higher court to quash Anwar's acquittal in order to get another re-trial. Why waste time and public money for the attempted appeal? Did the prosecution obtain any fresh or sufficient evidence to have the case appealed and obtain a re-trial. During the trial, the entire episode itself had proven that the whole prosecution team is a mere failure. One of the many laughing stock came up from the trial was one of the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) has close relationship with the accuser. Apart from that, evidence after evidence, witnesses who testified from the prosecution side clearly demonstrated that the whole case was actually a well-engineered evidence. They only testify...

Penang Exco members made public of their assets

Members of the Penang State Executive Council (Exco) together with Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had declared and made public of their assets. This is the first time that a state government' exco members has officially declare their assets to the public. The exco's asset declaration fulfills personal obligation and political will of the state government. It has also been confirmed that an independent and renowned accounting firm KPMG has conducted an audit onto the assets of these exco members. KPMG partner Ooi Kok Seong had confirmed that the firm's auditor had carried out their job independently, objectively and free from any conflict of interest. Our congratulations to Guan Eng and his team for their commitment towards the goal to ensure a clean governance. Now, will the other BN governed states' exco members as well as the federal government ministers and deputy ministers under Umno president Najib Razak ever dare to do the same by declaring all their assets to the pu...

Why did the SBs tried to harm the people? Who planted those explosives?

Image
Why were the police special branch (SB) personnel there disguised as journalists and cameramen. They were seen pushing the crowd while Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, his family and Pakatan Rakyat leaders were coming out of the main gate of the court house. What is their actual intention of doing that? We supposed if they were to push harder and make the crowd angry, those in uniform would be able to take action, start shooting their tear gas, fire the rubber bullets and lastly ambush the people over there. This is the reason they are wanting to create. To track these real trouble makers, check the videos posted in the Internet. Shouldn't they be there among the crowd to nab those anti-Anwar protestors, Perkasa, Perkida and Pembela, or even Umno provocateurs who might do the mischiefs and plotting to sabotage, like planting these bombs? Then, why on earth would these 901 and Pakatan Rakyat supporters want to place bombs at the very place they would be holding their rall...

Mustahil Akta Perhubungan Kaum ala Britain di Malaysia

Image

Karpal: One Candidate, One Seat

Image
Of until recently, the DAP National Chairman Karpal Singh had strongly emphasized that all party candidates contesting in the next general election should only go for one seat, be it parliament or state legislative assembly. And he had mentioned it again during the recently concluded party national convention, citing that everyone should be given the opportunity to serve. We agreed with Karpal's resolution that a candidate should only contest one seat, parliament or state up to the party leadership to decide. A candidate contesting should not opt for more than one seats like having the later as a spare tyre just in case he or she loses the initial one. If you a candidate gets to win both the seats contested, we are figuring how is he going to serve two constituencies at one time and on whether he or she is able to divide his time for both sides. Then, in the end of the day, he or she will have to disappoint the other in order to serve whoever he prefers or prioritize. This scenario...

PAS has failed Hasan, says Muhyiddin

Image
The recently expulsion of former Selangor Pas commissioner Datuk Hasan Ali have given Umno more ammunition to show PASā€™ perceived failure to defend Islamic principles. Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin was quick to exploit the situation, thus declaring that PAS has failed Hasan. Even Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali too joined in the salvo against PAS. First of all, we would like to emphasize how did PAS failed Hasan? Why did PAS need to serve the needs and personal interests of Hasan? When we join a political party, do we hope that the party we joined would serve our personal interests? Actually, it was Hasan who has failed PAS because of his personal alleged "Islamic" agenda. Was Hasan's "Islamic" agenda a true Islamic one or was it only a political motivated of which would serve his personal interests? It has already been proven, based on his recent actions, statement, what he had done, all are based on his personal political interests and not of Islam at a...

Court acquits Anwar

Image
The court today officially acquits PKR Advisor and Parliamentary Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of all charges in the longest ever sodomy II trial in this country. The court judge Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah when reading out the statement to acquit Anwar said that he cannot be 100 percent certain of the integrity of the DNA samples which may be seen as has been compromised. Apart from that the judge also confirmed that the court could not fully rely on the lone testimony of the accuser Saiful Bukhari Azlan due to the nature of the charge itself. Well, justice has been serve and Anwar is now a free man once again. Time to leave all those bad chapters behind and move on to focus on taking on the Umno-dominated BN coalition. The general election is near and expected to be called somewhere in the first quarter. So, PKR-DAP-PAS-PSM leaders should start focusing and gear up your electoral committees nationwide to ensure a certain victory for Pakatan Rakyat. Once again, congratulati...

Strong opposition needed for check and balance

Image
Parliamentary Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has said that a Pakatan Rakyat (PR) federal government would be satisfied with a simple majority in Parliament, citing concerns that a two-thirds majority victory will make the coalition complacent. The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Advisor said that a simple majority would ensure a strong federal government as well as opposition, as well as allow a proper-check-and balance system so that the PR does not end up mirroring the current Barisan Nasional (BN) kind of governance. We applaud these kind of middle-path and power-sharing system being upheld by Anwar. We agreed that giving one party a two-thirds majority or more than that would make the said party complacent, too strong, too powerful and in the end creating an attitude of hunger for power, positions, fame which in turn will lead to mismanagement, power abuses, a phobia of being afraid of losing power, factionalism and so on. A kind of middle-path and power-sharing which is be...
