Gerakan urge Kedah state govt to appoint deputy MB

Kedah Gerakan Youth wants the PAS-led state government to enact a constitutional provision to appoint a deputy menteri besar to replace the menteri besar should anything were to happen to the later.

However, Gerakan had for so many years fail to address the same concern on the other states which are governed by the BN. During BN's reign in Kedah prior to the year 2008, why didn't Gerakan voice out the same concern and to propose for the creation of a deputy menteri besar's post to deputize the menteri besar in event the later was unable to perform his duties as chief executive of the state?

What about the BN rule states of Perak, Terengganu, Melaka, Johor and Pahang? Why didn't Gerakan raise the same question to their counterparts Umno, MCA, MIC and PPP to have deputy MBs in all these states? Why didn't Gerakan urge these BN govern states to demonstrate their rule by examples first before they forward this question to Pakatan rule states?

Such a call by Gerakan seems rather hypocrite than sincere and is unbecoming for, as we could see they are taking advantage on the menteri besar's ailing condition to stir up some conflicts in the Pakatan state government so that the subject of "succession" would arise and therefore, a "leadership tussle" will then take place.

BN's cheap politics!
