Bersih 2.0: Gerakan president a lame duck

“Certain announcements, measures by the police, for example, they have given the people the impression that we (the government) were too restrictive. When the prime minister offered a stadium and they chose Stadium Merdeka, police said no for whatever reasons.
This is yet another some sort of publicity stunt played by Dr Koh and Gerakan (if he says he represents the party in this statement). Who will listen to all this now, after all, the Bersih 2.0 rally had long gone.
First of all, why only Dr Koh voice out such statement only now? Why didn't he bravely voice out his opinion and support for the Bersih 2.0 rally before it takes place on last July?
Where was Dr Koh, when everyone of us saw the government and police are giving conflicting answers and orders in their effort to purge the Bersih 2.0 rally? First the prime minister said do not rally on the streets and the government is willing to give them the Merdeka Stadium to do whatever they want inside there.
Then the inspector-general of police (IGP) and his high command over ruled the prime minister saying that rallying in the streets or stadium are both forbidden. So, why didn't Dr Koh come out at that very hour to quash the IGP's confusing and conflicting statement as well as lodging an official complaint against the IGP to the home affairs minister for disregarding the orders from the country's top chief executive?
What redemption can Dr Koh make out of it, when the Bersih 2.0 is already over about a month plus ago? Will Dr Koh be able to stress his facts in the cabinet meeting bravely in front of those "supreme" Umno leaders and ministers, telling them that what they had done on 9 July 2011 was very wrong?
We supposed, in the end of the day, when we were to ask him again, he will push the buck back to the guy top there, saying that that statement was merely his own opinion and he will hold another "close door" meeting (perhaps bashing from Umno leaders), to straighten things up.
Well, this is all about Dr Koh and we won't know he is such a lame duck if he didn't release this statement recently. Good riddance Gerakan!
