Ruler was ill-advised and confused

It is a very clear fact that the ruler of a state was definitely ill-advised and confused on the recently provoked "Allah" controversy. Nobody in this country have ever wanted such issue being provoked, politicized, misused or mismanaged.

Well, what was the root cause onto all these problems? It is in front of our eyes almost every day. The religion was institutionalized, thus being politicized by many politicians, and now being used as a hate engine in order to get rid of somebody that the other somebody dislike.

The worst thing of all is, the ruler of the state is currently surrounded by advisors who are mostly aligned to the current ruling elites in Putrajaya. As such, we would say he has been ill-advised and confused. He has been swayed around the clock and did not know what has actually transpired out there.

And just because he was being ill-informed and confused, he issued a decree which was against the will of the people and everyone nationwide is now criticizing him for what he had issued. What now then? The damage cannot be undone. The decree has been issued and cannot be withdrawn as it is from a person of a royal stand.

His Royal Highness (HRH) as we all should address should have realize the current the situation and analyze it from every point of view instead of so overly depending on those pro-Putrajaya advisors in his palace. Why did we say all his advisors are pro-Putrajaya? It is because they are not under the ruler's direct payroll, these advisors are full-time civil servants appointed by the Public Service Department (JPA) which is directly reporting to the Prime Minister's Department.

In this case, if these advisors were to advise the ruler the otherwise, disciplinary action would be taken against them, or they may be transferred out or demoted in event of the controversy turning from bad to worst. If this is the case in the Putrajaya-based dictatorship which is full of political interference?

So, in such situation, HRH upon hearing such advise which falls heavily against the other party, should exercise his own wisdom to judge the entire scenario, conduct his own investigation and make an independent statement to ease the entire situation. HRH should also remember that he not a ruler for only one particular race or religion, but a ruler and the subject of reference for everybody in the state. Same goes to the king.

When making such judgment or decree, HRH should understand and look at only some of these few basic facts : How do the Arab Christians mention the word god in their Arabic Bible? Is the Arabic language only being used by Arab Muslims? What about those Bumiputra Christians in Sabah and Sarawak who are using the Malay version Bibles? What about those Indonesian Christians who are also using their Indonesian version Bibles? Why are they also using Allah? Have they ever use the Christian version of Allah to forcefully convert any Muslims around the world? Sikhs and Hindus too have the word Allah in their holy books. All these are the most simple and available facts.

We will not help anyone to answer all these questions and will leave it to the HRH to reexamine and analyze what he has decreed earlier. Nor we will not condemn anyone who had made the said error. Everyone make mistakes and should learn from it. It is natural for humans to make mistakes, provided that he or she should not stick to it just for the sake of sticking into it.

HRH, remember, you are where everyone should refer to when the entire political situation is in the mess and you are therefore the constitutional symbol to ease such conflicts not worsen it. Please bear in mind.
