Seksualiti Merdeka: Police failed to use their intelligence
Well, the Seksualiti Merdeka indoor festival which was supposed to commence soon has been called off due to the police ban and the threats of violence issued by Perkasa and many more pro-Umno non-governmental organizations (NGOs).The police ban was announced by the inspector-general of police last week and it has been seen that this ban was only for the sake of banning it, after Perkasa and the other ultra-rightist NGOs issued their threat to harm the participants.
The IGP and the police force had in fact failed to understand the objectives behind this Seksualiti Merdeka indoor festival. They merely used those many police reports lodged to judge, they merely listen to all those claims alleged by these police report makers, the police did not really go deeper into their investigation and just based on the pressure of these violent ultra-rightist NGOs to ban the "victim" instead. That means the police failed to use their intelligence and professionalism in determining this subject.
Who issued the threat of violence and to harm people in the first place? If the Seksualiti Merdeka were to proceed, will the Perkasa and the rest of those ultra-rightist NGOs send their members to the event with parangs and keris in their hands to slaughter the participants thus, causing bloodshed in that venue? Guess, even Ambiga and Marina Mahathir will also be slaughtered as well.
Then, the police should ban all these ultra-rightist violent NGOs instead, as they were the ones who had threatened sheer bloodshed in the said event. But to our grave disappointment, the police force sided them (ultra-rightist violent NGOs) and passes these treats over to Seksualiti Merdeka organizers instead, to make it like it was the organizers of this event who were the ones threatening the participants.
For your information, there is nothing wrong nor harmful at all on this Seksualiti Merdeka event to the public. It is held indoor and it is not a rally. The sole objectives of this event is to hear out the grievances and challenges undergone by these 'sidelined people' so that things could be worked out to help these unfortunates and to obtain some avenues for them to have their voices and grievances heard.
Seksualiti Merdeka is not about prostitution, open sexual intercourse, sex party nor even an event to promote nudity as claimed and alleged in some of the police reports lodged by these silly-minded ultra-right violent NGO members and leaders.
We are very certain that all these ultra-right violent NGO members and leaders did not even go through or have a proper reading or understanding on the objectives, contents and programs of the Seksualiti Merdeka before they lodge their junk police reports. And they straight away jumped into conclusion that this event is mainly on prostitution and open sex party.
These ultra-right violent NGO members and leaders were in fact mostly scattered everywhere afar from each other. They only depend and believe in rumours being carried around via mouth, sms texts, verbal messages and simply make their judgments and decisions blindly. Their intelligence and sanity based on their action, by then, should be confirmed and viewed as Zero.
The worst thing is, even the police and the force top brass believed in these ultra-right violent NGO members and leaders. The police totally depends on these ultra-right violent NGO members and leaders to obtain their information about the event.
This what makes Malaysia a totally Failed Nation today. Congratulations to our IGP and to a former IGP who is now part of an ultra-right violent NGO. Both of you are once again partners.
Come on, police force! The crime rate is increasing dramatically. Why are you all only interested in focusing and meddling the people's sexuality?
