Auditor's Report: Widespread power abuse and corruption

The bad ones are a still ranked highest. The Auditor-General's report also shows that most of the federal government departments and agencies had indeed continuously came up top in many blatant abuse of powers and over spending of their financial allocations, where most of these expenditures does not really benefit the people.
So, what is the use of some government departments and agencies who managed to make some millions of Ringgit while the majority of the other departments, agencies or even government-linked companies (GLCs) were blatantly misusing and losing billions of Ringgit? The under performed sectors had outdo the well-performed ones.
In this case what is the use of giving credit to some of these minority sectors who had managed to make it through when the majority ones were still swindling billions. That means generally, the entire public sector is not performing at all.
Same goes to the GLC, if Petronas was able to make profits annually because of its petroleum revenue, while the other GLCs suffered massive losses repeatedly, year after year, then overall all these are not considered as well-performed or excellent at all.
By the way, it is not only the 2010 Auditor-General's report that shows and exposed cases of outrageous power abuses within the public sector and the GLCs, the reports of the previous years from 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 also saw the same old stories of such abuses and we did not see any stern action taken against all these irresponsible civil servants who abused their powers for personal gains.
Furthermore, we would like to ask where on earth is the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) and what have they done to prevent such abuses and corrupt practices from repeating? Ever since it was upgraded from a "small" Anti Corruption Agency (ACA), the MACC has yet to achieve anything other than going after or targeting opposition leaders for their alleged "corrupt" practices made forward by Umno and BN leaders in order to discredit the opposition Pakatan Rakyat.
Look, Pakatan Rakyat had just only came to power in 2008 and the BN has been in power for more than a decade now. By now, we could see countless of BN leaders, particularly of those from Umno had managed to gained billions of Ringgit in projects, tenders, orders, sales and other contracts. Many of these Umno leaders had turned billionaires overnight as the result of some privatization and projects awarded to them.
Yeah, all these payouts were all above the market value or prices. Aren't they all being clearly shown? They are all as the result of massive and blatant power abuses and corruption. And MACC is still sitting there doing nothing to file investigations in order to book these culprits to the court of law. Reason? No report was lodged? Why do they have to wait for somebody to lodge a report, only then they will create a file to initiate any investigations?
What else we could say on this? The grave disadvantage is that the MACC is still under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister's Department and therefore the commission was unable to act impartially against all these crooks be it from BN or Umno just because they still reports to the prime minister who is also the Umno president and BN chairman.
That is why the MACC should be removed from the Prime Minister's Department immediately and have it put under the direct preview of the parliament, under a parliamentary select committee to suppress corruption. Only in this way, then the MACC would be able to act without fear and favour against all those corrupt masters.
Anyway, as long as BN and Umno are still in power, the above concerns would remain the same concerns annually until our people could one day, come up together to overturn the status quo.
Come on! We are taxpayers, and those money which has been wrongly used were ours by right.
