A well-planned game to cripple Pakatan Rakyat

Just immediately after the Sarawak state legislative assembly was dissolved to pave way for the state election, former child rapist and ex-Melaka Umno chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik admitted that his business partner Datuk Shazryl Eskay, Perkasa’s treasurer Datuk Shuib Lazim and himself were collectively the mysterious “Datuk T” who were behind the Monday’s screening of a sex video purportedly featuring PKR Advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with an unidentified woman.

Congratulations to Umno on their well-planned game to cripple Pakatan Rakyat's and their election machinery. But everyone knows that this will not deter the strength and spirit of the Pakatan leaders in Sarawak in facing the upcoming Sarawak state election.

Even if their plot and conspiracy is well-planned, we wish to stress that this kind of work is not a genius one, politically. It is certainly an outdated and uncivilized kind of dirty political foul-play in order to bring one's opponent down at all cost.

Umno is still with its racist and supremacist characteristics. And so do most of its leaders and the party's hope to change itself from within is nothing more than a window dressing. Their core political objectives remain: racism and supreme ownership of this nation. They are the law, they are above the law, they control the people, they are the puppet players and they possess the bullets and the explosive as well. This is the way they rule this nation which they claimed is theirs.

What else they could do? Nothing at all. They are lost. They have nothing for our people now. With the government machinery still in their hands, they are now turning to the police, MACC, the judiciary and the military in order to maintain in power at all cost. Democracy is dead.

So, the other BN component parties like MCA, Gerakan, PPP, Kimma, SUPP, PRS, SPDP, PBS, LDP, PBRS, Upko are either dumb, coward or busy with their political and factional infighting.

Umno president and prime minister Datuk Najib Razak says that we should focus on the sex video's authenticity instead of Umno. That means Najib is also saying that he permits those Umno trios to organize the porn show in a government house while he instructs the heavily armed police to fiercely crush Datuk Seri Anwar's ceramah event at Gombak.

Umno is now trying its very best to complicate and confuse the people on the current situation by immediately labelled Datuk Seri Anwar as guilty as possible of another yet to be justified sex offense. The opposition had previously being implicated and jailed with a sodomy I case during his expulsion as prime minister and the charges were found to be untrue where he was then unconditionally released from prison. Datuk Seri Anwar is now facing another long trial of sodomy II which is also clearly seen as an Umno plot to pull him down from opposition politics.

Hey! Since Umno is betting on "justice" and its police system to get to the ground and find out the plot or the truth, what about the other renown sexist actor Dr Chua Soi Lek who now calls himself an MCA president? He admitted that he is the one in the sex video performing oral sex and having sexual intercourse with a woman named Angeline.

Oral sex is against the law and a penal code of law also have a provision on that, so why didn't the police take action on Dr Chua when he had admitted to the offense and his act has been proven in the sex video? Because home minister and Umno vice-president Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein instructed the police not to do so, as Dr Chua is a BN man and furthermore an MCA president.

And we bet if Umno still fail to bring down Datuk Seri Anwar this time with their fancy sex video episode, their last option is to blow up and kill the opposition leader with C4 explosive.

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Singapore Malay daily teaches Mahathir about hardwork

The former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's assumption that Malays in Singapore had failed and their neighbouring Malays should take lesson from their plight has not impressed a Singaporean daily. The republic's Malay daily Berita Harian in an editorial said Malay-Muslims in the republic state were successful and it was a result of their real efforts and hard work in line with the values of meritocracy, not a result of being spoon-fed. “We do not believe in being spoon-fed or being too dependent on the government - in other words, we do not have a crutch mentality,' wrote editor Guntor Sadali.
