Minister says crime victims also not above law

The minister in the prime minister's department in charge of law Datuk Nazri Aziz had recently said that the victim of the snatch theft who pursued one of the two robbers to his death might be charged in the court for murder.

According to Nazri, the law is the law and victim would also have to face it as she had committed a "murder".

So what is Nazri really trying to translate here? Is he saying that it is also wrong for a robbery victim to defend oneself? Is Nazri also trying to say that the victim had failed to call the police to assist her in going after those snatch thieves?

Where were the police when she was robbed in daylight and needed help so desperately? She has to fend for herself when these robbers robbed her of er belongings and she also might have been killed if she were to be unlucky on that day.

And whenever something had gone wrong, the police top brass are quick to give lame excuses that they are short of manpower, this and that, and so on. Well, you do not have enough manpower to suppress the rising crimes in our neighbourhood but you did have trucks load with battalions of police personnel send to arrest and beat up pro-democracy and peaceful protesters who are merely holding candle lights or light banners making their way in a harmless mode.

Aside, the police do not even have sufficient manpower to curb racist, extremist or grooming terrorist who ply to the streets waving their knifes, "parangs" threatening people with bloodshed and spreading hate message, creating unrest and public disorder, promoting violence and disunity as well.

The "mat rempits", snatch thefts and other criminal elements are also increasing everyday because the police are not doing much to curb these negative aspects, but instead often seen busying themselves going after opposition leaders, MPs and state assemblymen who are trying to help and serve our people.

Is this BN government encouraging lawlessness in order to curb our people's freedom, democracy and human rights? If this government which Nazri is currently serving is not interested in protecting the people and to ensure proper security order in the streets, it is the duty of us being responsible citizens to conduct our own crime prevention in order to protect our families from being harmed by these criminals.

And for the purpose of self-defense, we as responsible citizens too have our rights to execute and terminate these criminals in order to prevent such threats from further spreading to our neighbours thus, endangering the entire community.

By the way, where is that coward home minister Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein? You said your home ministry KPI is good but our people are still suffering in the hands of these hardcore criminals and terrorists.
