BN's Chinese bashing continues. What next?

The 13th general elections (GE13) is over, but the racial politics in BN isn't over yet and it won't be easy. Top Umno leaders are now targeting the Malaysian Chinese community over BN's recent reduced majority to only a simple one citing that the community has been the most ungrateful. In fact many in Umno had refused to acknowledge their weakness, the negative elements within the government, the rising of extremism and racism within Umno and its sponsored non-governmental organisations (NGOs) but instead continue blaming the Malaysian Chinese community.

One particular Umno leader, who is also a former chief minister defeated in a parliamentary seat contest had also openly questioned the ungratefulness of the Chinese voters by saying that they have been given so many free foods, free entertainments, gifts, luck draws and also free concerts by inviting some of the worlds most renowned singers to entertain them, the disbursements of BR1Ms, offer of PR1SM low-cost housing, KR1M cheap products, etc, but they still voted for the Oppositions.

Asides Umno, MCA and SUPP (both Chinese-based political parties) too are complaining over the rejection of the Malaysian Chinese community by saying that they had already done enough to satisfy the community and they cannot really understand what more do they want in return. MCA has now resorted to giving up all government positions it held until today saying that there's no point for them to serve if the Chinese voters are still rejecting them.

So far, only Gerakan in particular gracefully accepted their defeat and pledged to conduct a deeper study and research onto why the Malaysian Chinese community has rejected the party and BN in the GE13.

The BN's Chinese bashing is continuing now. Instead of closing the chapter, conduct a post-mortem on the reduction of their majority to a slim position and lay out their reforms drastically, they choose to continue blaming the Malaysian Chinese community at large. Almost every hour since yesterday, it was almost everything ungratefulness of the community towards the various "contributions and developments" which has been undertaken by BN then.

The BN chairman Najib Razak even supported Utusan Malaysia's statement, "Apa lagi Cina mahu?", while adding that the Malaysian Chinese has been duped by DAP, also blaming all the Chinese press for Utusan's outburst. Earlier, Najib had also reasoned the reduction of BN's majority has got to do with the "Chinese Tsunami". Former prime minister Mahathir Mohamed had also jump into the bashing by striking onto the Opposition, accusing them of instigating the Malaysian Chinese community to "hate the Malays". Mahathir also added that the relationship between the Malay and the Chinese communities are currently strained because of the Opposition's instigation.

We are expecting, in a few more days, more Umno leaders are expected to drum up their anti-Chinese sentiments. All these actions and revengeful attitudes are very unhealthy. If BN had lost many seats in the GE13, they should analyse the situation and the ground sentiments instead of getting angry onto certain community and wanted to avenge their defeats. The actions of these BN leaders demonstrates that they are still in denial mode, couldn't understand what democracy really is.

If BN were to still insist that their reduced majority are caused by the "Chinese Tsunami", can they explain what is in Selangor, Kelantan, Johor, Melaka, Perak and Negri Sembilan. These states are all Malay-majority in status, for example, Selangor and Kelantan in particular with the Opposition pact managed to increase their majority. Aren't these two absolute Malay-majority states?  As for Johor, Melaka, Perak and Negri Sembilan, most of the areas of these states are with high percentage of mixed-ethnicities, with the Malays still holding the majority in most of them. So, where did actually the "Chinese Tsunami" came from?

This is a Malaysian general elections. And voting stations nationwide are not segregated according to ethnics, like the Malay voting station, the Chinese voting stations and the Indians as well. Asides, we also do not have separate general elections for different ethnics, like the Malay general elections, Chinese general elections, Indian general elections, the Kadazans, Sikhs and whatsoever.

In this case, why do these BN leaders so particular in wanting the GE13 results to be based on ethnicities? If it is a Malaysian general elections, then look at the results based on a Malaysian point of view, instead of picking on a particular ethnic to avenge their anger on.

To Najib, what next? Pick up all the Malaysian Chinese and send them to political detention centres?
