Pakatan Need Not Form A Shadow Cabinet

Image
The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat (PR) which currently consist of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) need not form a shadow cabinet to look onto the performance of the Barisan Nasional (BN) cabinet. Yes, we all knew that PR has increased its members of parliament (MPs) in the last general elections (GE13) and BN did only managed with a slim majority. The BN's cabinet has been formed and taken its oath of office recently and they had also started their work, whereas on the PR side, many of us are wondering when would their shadow cabinet be announced to oversee the BN government ministries. We are now repeating this, PR need not form a shadow cabinet. Why? There are so many reasons onto why PR should not do with the formation of the shadow cabinet. First, in the Federal Constitution itself, there is no provision that recognize institution of a shadow cabinet by the Opposition MPs. Asides, these Opposition MPs are ...

Many Umno leaders are "Pendatang" too. Leave Malaysia if you hate democracy!

An old  report  was taken from  Jakarta Post dated March 22, titled when he was Malaysian defence minister visiting his "homeland" . "Malaysian Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi revealed his Javanese heritage on Thursday in Yogyakarta during his state visit. He said he had Javanese blood as his paternal grandparents originally came from Kulonprogo in Yogyakarta. ā€œI am coming home," Zahid told  The Jakarta Post , adding that he would be staying in Yogyakarta for two days with his wife, after having attended the Jakarta International Defence Dialogue (JIDD) on Wednesday. "While in Yogyakarta, Zahid plans to meet relatives including Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti and friends, including the Yogyakarta sultan's brother, ā€œPrinceā€ Joyokusumo as well as visiting the royal cemetery in Imogiri, Bantul. "Zahid said that his grandparents moved from Kulonprogo to Malaysia in 1932, while his mother's grandfather had come from Ponorogo, East Java,...

Lanjutan Kebencian Ke Bidang Kepenggunaan dan Perniagaan

Image

Kabinet Baru BN, Hanya Berupa Tin Kosong

Image

Racist and Sexist, that is Umno politics

Image
On the first day as the new minister of home affairs, Umno vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi fired his first salvo by asking those who disagree, those who are in the opposition and critics who oppose the BN government and its policies to migrate to another country citing that this country is only for one particular race. In his terms, he is indeed welcoming all those Indonesians and Bangladeshi in large numbers into Malaysia but telling the more than 51 percent of the voters who voted against Barisan Nasional to go back to China. We wonder what is the origin of his father and grandfather. You think this is your father's country, Ahmad Zahid? Then later on, the new deputy minister of finance, Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan told the press that the opposition leaders has been sodomising the minds of our people into supporting the opposition parties in the last general elections (GE13). He said, "pembangkang telah meliwat pemikiran rakyat". What is Ahmad Maslan...

Post-GE13, Racism On The Rise

Image
The 13th general elections (GE13) had just concluded, with Barisan Nasional (BN) only managed to win in a slimmer majority, while Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has won even more seats now and had successfully obtained a firmer control on our nation's two most industrialized states, Selangor and Penang, while making more inroads into BN strongholds. In the immediate reaction on BN's slim majority, the coalition's chairman who is also the Umno president Najib Razak made an initial statement saying that the BN's slimmer majority was not actually PR's gain but more to a sort of "Chinese Tsunami", referring to the even worst defeat that the three BN Chinese-based component parties, MCA, Gerakan and SUPP had suffered. Then later, Umno's mouthpiece called Utusan Malaysia then vented its anger onto the Chinese community by sarcastically asking "Apa lagi Cina mahu?" So, is the outcome of the GE13 really a typical Chinese swing? In the previous rallies or...

BN's Chinese bashing continues. What next?

Image
The 13th general elections (GE13) is over, but the racial politics in BN isn't over yet and it won't be easy. Top Umno leaders are now targeting the Malaysian Chinese community over BN's recent reduced majority to only a simple one citing that the community has been the most ungrateful. In fact many in Umno had refused to acknowledge their weakness, the negative elements within the government, the rising of extremism and racism within Umno and its sponsored non-governmental organisations (NGOs) but instead continue blaming the Malaysian Chinese community. One particular Umno leader, who is also a former chief minister defeated in a parliamentary seat contest had also openly questioned the ungratefulness of the Chinese voters by saying that they have been given so many free foods, free entertainments, gifts, luck draws and also free concerts by inviting some of the worlds most renowned singers to entertain them, the disbursements of BR1Ms, offer of PR1SM low-cost housin...

"Apa lagi Cina mahu?", says frustrated Utusan

Image
"Apa lagi Cina mahu?" or "What do the Chinese want?" This is what has been voiced out by the frustrated Utusan Malaysia's editorial today. Well, we actually didn't want anything from anyone at all. What we are merely looking forward to, is a clean and trustworthy government, with no corruption; power abuse; mismanagement of public funds; treating our people with just and equal manner; having a clean electoral process; where extreme and racist policies are eliminated; a police force and anti-corruption enforcement that would take on those wrongdoers without having to look at their political affiliations; with no discriminations onto certain communities or ethnicities; no political violence; free and fair elections with practical democracy to be put on practice in this nation; and there are a lot more to say over here, but we would not list them out as it would take two to three articles to complete the lists. Well, the BN government has been running th...

MCA and Chua Are Indeed Racists

Image
In the recently concluded 13th general elections (GE13), MCA has saw the winning of its parliamentary and state seats contested being reduced tremendously to only 7 and and 11 seats respectively. MCA had contested 37 parliamentary seats and 90 state seats. According to MCA president Chua Soi Lek, the results are very disappointing for MCA and as for that, the party will not accept any government positions within the coalition from this term onwards, be it ministerial or state executive councillor positions. According to Chua again, he felt disappointed with the Chinese community who has decided to rally behind the Opposition coalition, Pakatan Rakyat. In the GE13 results announced late last night, Pakatan Rakyat had saw the increase of its parliamentary seats to 89 with DAP having garnered 38 seats, PKR got 30 and PAS with 21 seats. According to Chua again, DAP has won big and so does Umno. "As such, the two-party system has now become a two-race system, where all the Chine...

There's no "Arab Spring" in Malaysia at all

Image
There is no "Arab Spring" kind of street demonstrations, revolts nor uprising here in Malaysia. The citizens of this nation is not like those Arabs. The police top officials should stop all such imaginations within its force. Yes, we know that there some small groups of peace-loving concerned citizens who are pitching up so many small rectangular multicoloured flags in order to show their solidarity on change and their displeasure over political violence, corruptions and dirty politics. These group of peace-loving concerned citizens merely wanted to show what they are expecting, that is a brighter and better Malaysia for all Malaysians regardless of who or what race is he or she. Asides, these groups of people are also not affiliated to any political parties at all. So, why are the police looking at these people like if they were Malaysia's greatest threats of all? The police force are focusing on things that are to petty to go after with. What about all those po...

Why RMAF Officer Was Punished Over His Police Report On The Indelible Ink?

Image
A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) squadron leader, Major Zaidi Ahmad who is based in the Butterworth RMAF Air Base was transferred out from active duty over his police report which he made two days ago against the Elections Commission (EC) on the ineffectiveness of the indelible ink. The RMAF veteran of 24 years was instructed with immediate effect to be transferred to a desk job (as a research officer) in a military camp in Kuala Lumpur. Major Zaidi has however, requested for the postponement of his transfer to next Monday as he needs to resolve his family arrangements. Major Zaidi had on Wednesday lodged a police report over the indelible ink which could be washed off from his finger after he voted in the air base. His wife and an RMAF Technician Jamal Ibrahim who experienced the same situation had also lodged their police reports respectively. However it was not known if Jamal would be transferred out from the Butterworth RMAF Air Base soon. Why is Major Zaidi and his fami...

BN Desperate To Maintain Its Grip

Image
The offer was initially put up at RM50,000 and it was later increased to RM70,000 and finally, the amount was raised to the highest, RM100,000. Just look at how desperate BN is currently experiencing in facing the Opposition onslaught. This is in deed a clear last minute attempt by the BN and their agents in trying to entice Opposition candidates and their campaigners to win them over prior to the 13th general elections date of 5th May 2013 this coming Sunday. Other than that, BN is also continuing their aggressive drive to confuse the general public in to believing that both PAS and DAP are all for an Islamic state and a Christian republic respectively, both expounded differently by MCA and Umno, the first package was aimed at the Chinese community while the later one was being targeted at the Malay community in the rural areas. Then, these campaigns are followed with hate messages, political violence and racially-based instigations. You can also see all sorts of cash in kind...
