Is Pakatan mere occupants of BN developments?

The development in states administered by the PKR-DAP-PAS coalition is a legacy of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government, deputy minister in the prime minister’s department Datuk Ahmad Maslan said yesterday.

According to Maslan again the Pakatan is merely an occupant of the BN development, whether it is in Kedah, Kelantan, Penang or Selangor, and more so in (the parliamentary constituency of) Hulu Selangor.

We are very certain that the voters had realize the true meaning of development. Who gave the development? Yes, its BN and we all cannot deny that and it has already been proven all these while.

What the BN has been doing all these years is keep on developing, developing and bringing up states and areas which are Pakatan strongholds. Just because these states and areas which are Pakatan strongholds, the phase of developments in such states and areas are even faster and better.

But what about states and areas which are controlled by the BN, particularly Umno? No development and its phase are very often slow and most of the time nothing has been done yet.

This is one case history in Selangor. When settlers in new villages in the state continuously voted for BN and Umno for decades in hopes of obtaining their land titles for their lovely homes, their applications were always rejected, even if all their forms are correctly being filled with all evidence and details of their occupations and citizenship are being identified and proven.

We are also very certain that besides Selangor, there are also some other cases or issues in Penang, Kedah, Kelantan and Perak as well which prompt the voters to make their swing over to Pakatan.

Education opportunities for example, if we don't vote Pakatan our children will not have obtain their places in public universities even if they had beautifully scored and excelled in their examinations. But once Pakatan rule our states and constituencies, BN-Umno and federal aids poured in, like water flowing continuously.

Because of what, to retake people's heart. Why don't they take the people's heart when they (BN-Umno) were the state governments? Why only after Pakatan took over, and you all start giving this and giving that and telling the press that BN-Umno are good and better than those in DAP, PKR or PAS or just simply say that Pakatan is no good at all.

Why only during general elections or by-elections, only then BN-Umno come repair the roads, fix the street lamps, giving out allocations to schools, feeding the poor and unfortunate ones, giving cheques and cash to hospitals, children homes, welfare organizations, temples and so on.

Why during the normal times, BN-Umno deny us all these kinds of basic welfare development and humane care for our people?

Yeah, because to the BN-Umno, the development is their politics and politics is certainly of their development. Only then whenever there is an election, they will start talking about development and if there's none, so no development.

BN-Umno is trying hard to keep all the funds for their own and only uses them when there is an election. This is the case of the BN-Umno subject on development.

This is the only thing they are good at (picture above).

EC should ask ROS to register Pakatan quickly

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advised the current opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat comprising PAS, PKR and DAP, to register their coalition so that they could use their logo in the coming general election. EC deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the coalition should be registered because the opposition parties were always seen violating regulations of the election campaign, especially on the use of their logo. Datuk Wan Ahmad seems to be overly ignorant and too forgetful on this issue. The EC deputy chairman should ask the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to quickly register the Pakatan instead of calling on Pakatan to register itself. Pakatan Rakyat had earlier send in their formal application to register itself as a coalition of political parties since November 2009 and ROS has yet to register the said entity till today after delaying and creating so many hassles for more than a year. USM fiasco a shame

I read and heard with irritation and felt disgusted with the fiasco committed by the apex status university called Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) which caused untold anguish to the affected students and their parents. If this happened in Japan, the Vice-Chancellor would have done the honourable thing - take full responsibilty and leave, but here in Malaysia, as expected, the blame is shifted here and there, trying to make someone a scapegoat. By the way, would there be any racist or sabotage elements involved? Those who are responsible for this fiasco should be sacked or expelled immediately.

Federal Constitution that Safeguards the Legitimate Rights and Interest of All Malaysians

The provisions of the Federal Constitution are very clear. It confirmed the position of the Malay Rulers, Islam as an official religion of the federation and special position of the Malays and the natives in Sabah and Sarawak whilst recalling that those provisions balance those special positions with safeguards to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the other communities in Malaysia which also includes their right to profess and practice their religions freely without being fear of any threats or being harmed by anybody. The legitimate interests of the non-Malays and non-Muslims would include, amongst others: a) Article 153 (9) says that business or trade cannot be solely reserved only for the Malays, b) Article 3 (1) says that the official religion of the federation is Islam BUT other religions are also allowed to be practiced in peace and harmony in any part of the federation.
