The political police force in PDRM
Why did we say that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) had taken into the role of being a political police force? We got the reasons that people will certainly agree to.
It is indeed that PDRM is a political police force today. The reason is they are always subject to instructions and directions laid down by Umno and its various allies in order to serve the interest of these political leaders in high office.
Each time whenever there are any leaders of the opposition parties who made statements which are no in line with the political aspirations of the Umno warlords and leaders, police reports one after another will be made by hundreds of them in order to pressure the police to act against the opposition for voicing out their opinions or made speeches that are unsuitable to the Umno's political stands.
When there are opposition party leaders and members assembling or rallying to voice their opinions for and on behalf of the public, truck loads with thousands of police personnel are always send over to standby for a possible "showdown" as alleged.
As there are so many political police reports being lodged against the opposition leaders for making their stands for the people, it is no doubt that the PDRM had been deliberately turned into a political police force.
The Umno warlords and leaders are in fact making use of PDRM for their political purposes, to ensure their offices are not threatened by the rising popularity of the opposition leaders.
Police reports are now being misused for advancing the political interest of the selfish Umno warlords and leaders. What has become of PDRM by now?
The results are PDRM will be busying themselves with various investigations onto the opposition leaders after these political police reports were lodged against them. Case files will be opened and these opposition leaders will be called in for questioning, interrogation and so on.
They had done that even to the highest ranking opposition politician in the country mainly, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang, Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham, Lim Guan Eng and a lot more.
It shows that PDRM has been wasting all of their valuable times and efforts on political reports lodged by Umno against the opposition parties, calling up and hauling up these guys and that guys for questioning because of some political questions.
Then, the real crimes that are threatening our neighborhood are being neglected. Murder, rape, robbery, snatch thieves, motorcycle gangs (or best known as "mat rempit") are creating much havoc around the cities and housing estates in our nation. The most recent ones were the rallies and violent demonstrations organized by Umno groups that are really threatening the national security and public order, only a few policemen were there to just watch the scene.
When our people needed them for security and help, they are no where to be seen at all.
Where are the PDRM personnel then? Busy investigating political police reports, busy entertaining requests from Umno warlords and leaders to penalize this opposition leader and that opposition leader. Their focus now are overly political rather than to serve the interest of the public, crime prevention, going after the real criminals who went on rampage at our neighborhood.
And when the people requested for the establishment of the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC), the Umno warlords and leaders are quick to step in to act against such a noble effort so that they can continue to use PDRM for their own cause.
We are not penalizing PDRM. It is just that they are not realizing or refuse to acknowledge that they had deliberately being used by the ruling elite class of Umno.
If PDRM were to be standing firm, neutral and act professionally, we would salute and support them. But what had they turn themselves into now?
We don't even need the IPCMC if PDRM were to demonstrate their professionalism while performing their responsibilities for the people and our nation.
